Ra Tatto Studio is the first studio that accepts HBD as part of payment for customers and where the Human Canvas project is being carried out, which depends on having Hives for the NFT acquired so that the NFT design can be purchased from the tattoo artist and the customer can get a triple work: the NFT, the tattoo and the physical artwork signed by the tattoo artist.

Greetings and happy week! In this post, I will narrate the topic of my tattoo studio. Located in Caracas, which has been accepting HBD and HIVE coins since 2020. This post is also created to motivate other people to create and pursue their dreams. I wanted to share my experience as a content creator, artist, and express my ideas about the project and its realization.
First to all, it's a private tattoo studio, not a shop, but we operate as a store, located in the city of Caracas, Venezuela, established in 2015. Like any project, it wasn't conceived in that year but much earlier. I'll tell you how it all began. In the mid-90s, I had my first encounter with the world of tattooing in Venezuela. It was a very small community in Caracas, Valencia, Coro, Maracaibo, Puerto Ordaz, Mérida, and Falcón. These were the first places where urban collective tribes began to create societies and shops, and the first tattoo artists appeared. Initially, they used homemade machines they made themselves. Then the first tattoo expos started. I have many memories from those years, so many friendships made. In those years, I was around 14 or 15 years old, I started getting my first tattoos and piercings and learning to pierce, which I did in the 90s and until 2006 in various shops, at home, and on-call. With that money, I was able to pay for my university studies and buy my things, supplementing my income with jobs in music, museums, modeling, and photography.
Returning to the topic, since I started in the tattoo scene, I was always drawn to tribal tattoos. As nobody had seriously developed that type of tattoo in the country, despite the presence of indigenous peoples and ethnicities, the idea of creating a tattoo studio focused on that area began to form in my mind. That's what Ra Tattoo is today. Additionally, I'm very interested in indigenous themes, shamans, spirituality, prayers, healing people with prayers and tobacco.
Six years ago, in 2014, I made a first attempt to create a project with female tattoo artists, an initial partnership that I developed with an acquaintance, Francis. We covered various parts of the country, from Caracas to several cities in the east of the country, from Puerto la Cruz to Gran Sabana (Santa Elena de Uairen). We traveled and tattooed in many locations, polishing our tattooing technique and interacting with Pemon and Taurepan indigenous people, among others. We tattooed people who came from Brazil to these lands for tourism or business. Later, we ended the partnership, and I returned to Caracas to finish my studies in the Diploma of Human Rights of Indigenous Peoples. (I have a degree in Art History, graduated from UCV, my thesis focused on visual anthropology, so I studied some anthropology and photography subjects and spent eight years visiting various indigenous communities throughout the country).
After completing my diploma, I dedicated myself to developing a plastic research project, parallel to my music career. Since 2008, I've been creating Venezuelan indigenous healing music and conducting research in ethnomusicology and sound anthropology (aspects I've also mentioned in my previous biographical posts). In my research, I compiled photographs (in addition to those taken by me for my thesis and conceptual work), books, texts, links, and more on the subject of Venezuelan body art and ethnic themes.
After researching, I decided to create a tattoo studio to channel all this knowledge onto the skin. Retracing the role and function of the healing shaman as the main figure to help others, the main premise of Ra Tattoo Studio is to focus on tattooing as healing. Covering wounds, covering tattoos that have lost color or have a design you no longer like, tattoos to honor deceased loved ones, religious tattoos, and also to create protective amulets on the skin. We adorn the client's body with something more spiritual and unique (mandalas, Celtic symbols, ancient, primitive, minimalist), focusing on the rescue of indigenous, decorative, and ritualistic symbolism (based on their worldview). Of course, we also do all kinds of tattoos according to the client's preference. Like any business, we also need to make a profit and recoup the investment made in ink, machines, materials, in a country where prices for all materials rise every week, as they are imported.
The point is that Ra Tattoo seeks to rescue the art and knowledge of our ancestors and indigenous forebears, as in the not-so-distant past, almost all human beings were tattooed and painted. Whether for ritual, celebration, or personal preference, globally and in Venezuela. My idea is this: if people from other countries get Celtic, Maori, tribal tattoos sometimes without even knowing their meanings but just for aesthetic reasons (remember that many of these ancestral tattoos are assigned by the community to its members according to their hierarchy: the chief, the wizard, the warrior, the gatherer, the mother, the chieftain, etc.), then why not spread Venezuelan ethnic tattoo art and petroglyphs globally, starting with Latin America, and create a trend? This requires funding, travel, and participation in tattoo expos. Part of the reason I'm creating this post is that I want you to know that your votes will help me achieve that goal. Spreading Venezuelan ethnic art beyond borders.
Besides what has already been mentioned, I wanted my studio to be beautifully adorned, both here and on the official Instagram page Ra Tattoo (in the video section, you can find videos featuring the studio, and here, a bit further down, I've included the links).
Creating a space that is different and spiritual, combining healing through tattooing, and, more importantly, preserving ancestral art in our times, influenced by ancient cultures such as the Egyptian. Hence the name Ra, representing magical, creative, and wonderful beings, giving them a space to create art and develop their potential in the art of tattooing. One of the main tattoo artists is @orimusic, who, along with me, has developed the studio's partnership.

Saludos y feliz semana, en este post narraré el tema de mi estudio de tatuajes. Ubicado en Caracas, el cual acepta HBD y HIVE coins desde el año 2020. Este post esta creado además para motivar a otras personas a crear y seguir sus sueños y porque quise contar mi experiencia como creador de contenidos, artista y expresar mis ideas acerca del proyecto y la realización del mismo.
Primero es un estudio privado de tatuajes, no tienda, que esta ubicada en la ciudad de Caracas, Venezuela, creado en el año 2015. Como todo proyecto no se gestó en ese año sino mucho tiempo antes. Les contaré como empezó todo. A mediados de los años 90, tuve mi primer acercamiento con el mundo del tatuaje en Venezuela, era una comunidad muy pequeña, en Caracas, Valencia, Coro, Maracaibo, Puerto Ordaz, Mérida y Falcón fueron como los primeros sitios donde tribus urbanas colectivas comenzaron a crear sociedades, tiendas, aparecieron los primeros tatuadores (al principio con máquinas caseras fabricadas por ellos mismos, luego empezaron los primeros expo-tattoos, una gran cantidad de recuerdos en esos años, tantas amistades cosechadas, en esos años tendría yo 14 o 15 años, empecé a realizarme mis primeros tatuajes y piercings y a aprender a pierciar, cosa que hice en los 90s y hasta el año 2006 en diversas tiendas, en mi casa y a domicilio. Con ese dinero me pude pagar mis estudios universitarios y comprarme mis cosas y ayudarme entre el trabajo de músico y los otros empleos que tuve en el museo y modelando y con la fotografía.
Retomando el tema, desde que inicié en la movida del tatuaje como tal siempre me llamó la atención el tatuaje tribal, y como nadie había desarrollado de manera seria ese tipo de tatuajes en el país, habiendo indígenas, etnias, todo eso. Los tatuadores Alonzo Contreras (Halcón) y Octavio Salazar fueron los primeros tatuadores que vi que se inspiraron en esa temática de manera seria, alternándolos con los otros tatuajes que estaban de moda para el momento (luego conocí a Stefano, tatuador caraqueño que también desarrollo una línea étnica, samoana, maorí, tribal, de hecho el me tatúo mi primer petroglifo. Octavio me tatuó los de la cara y el segundo petroglifo, mas adelante hablare al respecto)
Siempre me dio curiosidad el saber temas tales como la historia del tatuaje originaria, o porque los indígenas se pintaban o dibujaban el cuerpo. De hecho mi tesis de artes de la Universidad Central de Venezuela, esta enfocada en esa área mas el tema de la fotografía indígena. Entonces en mi mente se fue gestando esa idea, la de crear un estudio de tatuajes, algún día, enfocado en esa área, que es lo que es actualmente Ra Tattoo. A su vez, como me gusta mucho el tema indígena, los chamanes, lo espiritual, las oraciones, sanar personas con oraciones y tabaco.
Hace 6 años en el 2014 tuve un primer intento de crear un proyecto de chicas tatuadoras, una primera sociedad, la cual desarrollé con una conocida, Francis y cubrimos varias partes del país, entre la ciudad de Caracas y varias ciudades del oriente del país, desde Puerto la Cruz hasta la Gran Sabana (Santa Elena de Uairen). Viajamos tatuando por muchas localidades y fue una experiencia genial. Puliendo la técnica del tatuaje y compartiendo con indígenas pemones y taurepanos y gente en general. Tatuando personas que venian desde Brasil también a estas tierras para turismo o negocios. Luego terminamos la sociedad y me vine a Caracas, a terminar mis estudios del Diplomado de DDHH de los Pueblos Indigenas (yo soy lic. en Historia del Arte, egresado de la UCV, mi tesis estuvo enfocada en la antropología visual, por lo que estudie algunas materias de antropología y fotografía y recorrí durante un período de 8 años varias comunidades indígenas por todo el territorio nacional).
Al terminar mi diplomado me dediqué a desarrollar una investigación plástica, en paralelo a la musical, desde el año 2008 vengo haciendo música indígena venezolana de sanación e investigación (etnomusicología, antropología sonora - aspectos que también he mencionado en mis posts biográficos previos). En mi investigación recopilé fotografías (además de las tomadas por mi para mi tesis y mi trabajo conceptual) libros y textos, links y demás sobre la temática del arte corporal venezolano, y en general sobre la temática étnica.
Luego de investigar decidí crear un estudio de tatuajes para orientar y canalizar todos estos saberes en la piel. Retomando la labor y la función del chamán sanador como figura principal de ayuda a otros, por lo que la principal premisa del estudio de Ra Tattoo es que aquí enfocamos el tatuaje como sanación. Para cubrir heridas, covers de tatuajes que hayan perdido el color o tengan un diseño que ya no te guste, tatuajes para honrar seres fallecidos, tatuajes religiosos y también para crear amuletos de protección en la piel, y a su vez adornando el cuerpo del cliente pero que tenga algo mas espiritual y único (mandalas, signos celtas, antiguos, primitivos, minimalistas), y que está enfocado en el rescate de las simbologías indígenas, decorativas y ritualistas (basados en su cosmovisión). Claro que, también realizamos tatuajes de todo tipo a gusto del cliente, como todo negocio hay que ganar también y recuperar la inversión hecha en tinta, maquinas, materiales, en un país donde cada semana suben los precios de todos los materiales, ya que son traídos desde fuera.
El punto es que Ra Tattoo busca el rescate del arte y de los saberes de nuestros ancestros y nuestros antepasados indígenas, ya que, en un pasado no tan lejano te puedo decir que, casi todos los seres humanos estaban así, tatuados y pintados. Ya sea por algún tipo de ritual o celebración o por gusto, a nivel global y en Venezuela. Mi idea es la siguiente si hay gente de otros países que se tatúa piezas celtas, maoríes, tribales sin a veces ni siquiera saber que significan sino por gusto (recuerden que muchos de esos tatuajes ancestrales son asignados por la comunidad a sus miembros según su jerarquía: el jefe, el mago, el guerrero, el colector, la madre, el cacique, etc). entonces porque no difundir el arte del tatuaje étnico venezolano y los petroglifos a nivel global, empezando por Latinoamérica y crear una tendencia. Para eso se necesitan fondos y viajes y participar en expo-tatus. Un poco la creación de este post es quiero que sepan que sus votos me ayudaran a lograr ese objetivo. Difundir el arte étnico venezolano en otras fronteras.

Crear un espacio que sea algo diferente y espiritual, y que combine la sanación mediante el tatuaje, y aun más importante, mantener el arte ancestral en nuestros días, sobre todo, influenciados por la culturas antiguas tales como la Egipcia, por eso el nombre de Ra, ellas como seres mágicos, creativos y maravillosos, para que tengan su espacio para crear arte y desarrollar su potencial a nivel del arte del tatuaje. Una de las tatuadoras principales es @orimusic, quien junto a mi persona, hemos desarrollado la sociedad del estudio.
