Some say that the photo above could be good for a painting.
Now I don't know if they are right as what I know about painting is very little.
When I was conscripted into the army we had a choice where to serve and I enlisted as a pilot. Due to my boxing years I was extremely fit and passed the fitness tests at the top of the group. But then bad luck struck as I failed the eye test. They classified me as color blind. Apparently I can see primary colors, but a get confused with the lighter shades of the primary colors. So I resigned and went home:)
I wish as I was marked as AWOL and fetched back by the military police.
How then can I see all of the colors in the photos in here?
I will use a Painted Lady butterfly again to divide the two sections of photos.
Here is a closer look at the photo above and imagine sitting on a lounge chair outside on a wooden deck and watching nature every day.
Finally, I end with another Painted Lady shot.
We think here of the severe conditions that our people in the KZN province are facing with some more stormy rain and mudslides again.
So many people died in the first mudslide incident two weeks ago and we hope and pray that no lives will be lost this time around.
The weather is crazy here lately and the surprising thing is that the big storms are missing us here in the Western Cape province, as normally they hit us first. But now the storm seem to fly right over us at speed to go and create havoc inland and further along the coastline.
Please share a prayer for the people in KZN.

Whatever was half repaired from last floods most now lost in the second round, even some repairs completed have been ripped up once again.
Thanks for beautiful photography to take our minds off events here, along with thinking about all us trying to survive this onslaught, gods must be angry!
On lighter note, still here even had a hint of a rainbow during a monkeys wedding, then the clouds came closing it all off once again.

Wow and Wow again! that 338 mm in Durban can fill an empty dam in and hour. Tons of water it the big rain seems to spread out from Durban into the other towns.

Now to check what roads will be open in use for Friday, groot trek may have many detours, just hoping we can get through.... Durban has been knocked sideways and then some!
Monkey not only stole the rainbow, tried to come into the home to take whatever never leave food out, knocked a bottle of coffee over that smashed on the tiles with son chasing out. Has learned to squeeze in past security now as well! Clever little buggers.

I seem to remember that you guys are going to St. Lucia Lady Joan?
They say that the rain will head to Richards Bay and be careful if you guys have to use backroads, as rain can make things very slippery there. I worked on the Eskom towers from Durban to Empangeni (Alusaf Smelter) and we had many slippery problems after the rains.

Rains up Richards Bay yesterday and today then should be clear according to weatherman for next couple of weeks, really hope so!

A break is great medicine and people underestimate the healing powers of a short 1 week break.
We had 7 day breaks up north, maybe 2 a year and it was great rechargers.
Nothing here yet, but it will come.
Hope with you that the weather will change for the better during your stay.
Best way to go and very essential break away from stress and strife.

Sounds like the internet to the village is not working, no problem a break to enjoy photographing my brothers and sisters in the bush.
Weather for next fourteen days looks favourable, would not matter much, never been known to melt from rain.
