RE: Are you building your nest egg like the swans?

Isn't nature amazing?

Seriously the best free show that is available to us, we just need to go out of the house and look!

So every year, I get Mallard ducks building a nest, in the same spot

Oh wow that would be so exciting, I would have a fieldday taking pics! I confess that Mallards are my favourite bird. 12 is a good amount as well.

I do like the swans and talk to them, and they DO recognise people, the ones in park which are constantly beside people, unlike these ones, come gliding over whenever I appear at their water's edge. They do respond to calling their names too. Mad that I am;)

I know that it has arrived to stay when I see those bluebonnets. Aren't they delightful?

Yes Spring is finally well on its way when you seem them and yes they are truly delightful, yet another example of how amazing and wonderful nature is:)

I would have had a field day taking pictures, but she wouldn't let me close and if I did, she would flee! Ducks aren't like birds. About 7 or 8 hours after having the babies, she walks them down to the water and they are done with the nest!

What a cheat! I missed the hatching.

I'm a little jelly that your swans are so responsive to you and my ducks like me as long as they don't have to look at me! Ha!

Have a great Thursday, whatever you are doing!

ah yes that's right, ducks do get them in the water pretty sharpish!
It would have been awesome though if you had seen the hatching

The swans yes they are responsive, will see when I go back tomorrow how they are, it might change once the babies are in the world!
Thank you and enjoy the the rest og your Thursday:)
