Amazing the distance some migratory routes cover.
Ruby-throated Hummingbirds fly over the open water of the Gulf of Mexico to reach the shores of Florida. It's a 500 mile non-stop trip. I would imagine by the time this brave little bird reaches its destination it is exhausted.

Ah, so you know about the little hummingbirds and yes their achievements are totally amazing. I often check if new records are established by birds in non stop distances and at this time, the Arctic Tern holds the record.
The thing is that they fast before a long flight to adapt their bodies for the long distances.
Nature is so intricate and amazing.
We hope that you guys will have a good weekend and you should be edging slowly towards your winter season, But of course that Fall first.
Our Spring will start at the 1st of September.
