It is really good to get out while it is not too hot. Those woodpeckers are all over the mountains. I like them a lot. We find so many interesting birds this time of year. Every morning a cookoo bird sings in the woods in May but today it was rainy and I didn't hear it. The mountains are teaming with life.
We have cookcoo birds too. I can never seem to spot them, but they sure are loud.
There are lots of birds in the forest, they are just a little harder to notice than large storks standing in the middle of a swamp.
