"We're all individuals, our own selves, despite family connections, ancestry, partners, children and the general population around us; we are us and they are them. Of course, we as individuals, form society as we know it, we're part of something bigger than ourselves and are all connected in some manner be it through family, friendship or professional or social ties, by location, religion and in any number of other ways...But you are you, I am me, and everyone else is them."
Preach!! We get so reliant on this "Technology" (not you... just saying) that I fear we sometimes get "Lost in the Machine". You now it is always good to see your words, dear soul... I feel quite the same as you do. But like my last week prompt said..."It's not the situation. It's how you handle it"... I'd say you are doing just fine! Have a great rest of your dear, my friend...

Most people are lost, or have lost their true selves, within social medias and other things such as consumerism. Priorities have changed and rather than feeling good to be alive people feel good because they bought something, a new phone for instance, and I think it's quite sad and pathetic; the social media networks are there to promote that, people finding validation and relevance externally when it should really be found from within.
Thanks for your comment, I'll continue to do fine as you put it, as I'll continue to stay off social media. Have a nice Friday.
