Mixed Vegetables with Fried Fish and Fish Sauce (easy cooking)

Good day!

Today's lunch is very special as I got to cook one of my husband's favorites and is becoming my favorite too! This dish is special because it is very tasty, nutritious, and healthy. The name of the dish is called "Mixed Vegetables with Fried Fish and Fish Sauce". This is healthy because its ingredients are all vegetables except of course the fried fish and fish sauce. This dish is also very tasty because of the fried fish and the fish sauce. I couldn't believe how tasty this dish was until my husband introduced it to me. This dish is a traditional dish of Ilocanos/Ilokanos. Yes, my husband is Ilocano/Ilokano and I am Tagalog.

My husband taught me how to cook this and said to me that it is a very easy dish to prepare and quick to cook it is also not messy. This dish is also very flexible since you can cook it with different vegetable combinations. The main vegetables in this dish are eggplant, bitter melon, and tomato.

Ingredients

  • Bitter Melon (2 pcs, small)
  • Eggplant (1 pc, medium)
  • Okra (2 pcs, small)
  • Hyacinth Bean (4 pcs, small)
  • Winged Bean (4 pcs, small)
  • Green Pepper (1 pcs, medium)
  • Sweet Potato (1 pc, medium)
  • Cabbage (150 grams)
  • Tomato (2 pcs, small)
  • Left-over Fried Fish/Tilapia (2 pcs)
  • Fish Sauce (3 tbsp)

Preparing the ingredients

I just washed and sliced the tomatoes

I just washed and split the winged beans

I just washed and split the Hyacinth Beans

I just washed and sliced the bitter melon into two and washed them

I just peeled and sliced the sweet potato into bite-size cubes and washed them

I just split the cabbage into two and washed them

I just cut the eggplant into four sections and washed

I just washed the Okra

I just washed the green pepper

I prepared the left-over fried fish (Tilapia)

I just prepared the fish sauce

How to cook

1. I just combined all the ingredients in a brown except for the fish sauce

2. I added some water, enough to submerge all the ingredients, and let them boil

3. When it started to boil I added the fish sauce and continued boiling

4. When all the ingredients are cooked turn off the heat

5. Put some in a bowl then serve
