Reality and illusion are a matter of objective science as well as subjective perception. We all seem to move around a general region somewhere in between both. And when reality is affected by mere observation, one wonders what is real ultimately. A wave can turn into a particle merely by being observed apparently. So it seems that we can change reality and what is truth or illusion merely by observing it or thinking about it.
That isn't accurate. Other particles cause a collapse. They aren't "observing" as you would think in reference to humans or other animals. "Observing" would be something existing then.
