Hello everybody, first of all I want to thank and give a warm welcome to @meraki7578 who's the guest judge for this week's contest.
Since I'm single and don't really have very fond memories of valentine's days (or maybe I just don't want to go through that rabbit hole), I'm just goint to stick to answer the second question, which is:

Forget Valentine's Day — how do you truly show someone you care? Is it a grand gesture, a thoughtful gift, heartfelt words, or something different entirely?

When I truly care about someone I lean more towards being more action oriented, In fact I love doing things for my special people. If someone I love needs something, I will be glad to help, to offer my hand.
Maybe cooking something nice, making them a handmade gift, listening to their worries and offering comfort.
For me those gestures have a deeper meaning than just throwing some random regurgitated cheesy words or buying something expensive. In fact, I do value those gestures way more.
Having someone right there will always be more meaningful. We live in a very consumerism oriented society, so it's always a breath of fresh air getting to experience what values the most: humanity.
I think we all should value that way more than we do. I lean, of course is nice to get pretty things, but at the end of the day we cannot put a price tag on actual feelings.

¡Hola a todas!, primero que nada quiero agradecer y darle la bienvenida a @meraki7578 quien es la jurado invitada para el concurso de esta semana.
Ya que estoy soltera y no tengo realmente muy buenos recuerdos de dia de san Valentin (o quiza simplemente no quiero ahondar mucho en ese tema), voy a concentrarme en sólo responder la segunda pregunta, la cual es:

Olvida el día de San Valentín - ¿cómo le demuestras sinceramente a alguien que le quieres? ¿Es un gran gesto, un regalo, palabras sentidas, o algo completamente diferente?

Cuando realmente quiero a alguien me inclino mas hacia la acción, de hecho me encanta hacer cosas por mis personas especiales. Si alguien que quiero necesita de algo, estare muy feliz de ayudar, de ofrecer mi mano.
Quiza cocinando algo rico, haciendoles un regalo hecho a mano, escuchando suy preocupaciones y ofreciendo calma.
P.ara mi esos estos siwmpre tendran mas significado que simplemente arrojar palabras cursis regurgitadas o comprando un regalo costoso. De hecho, yo valoro esos gestos mucho mas.
Tener a alguien alli para ti siempre sera mas especial y significativo. Vivimos en una sociedad consumista, asi que siempre es un respiro de aite fresco poder experimentar lo que al final de cuentas vale mas: la humanidad.
Creo que todos deberíamos valorarlo mucho mas de lo que lo hacemos. Es decir, claro que es lindo tener cosas lindas, pero al final del dia no podemos ponerle precio a los sentimientos genuinos.
