[EN/PT-BR] Community: focusing on who is here and not who is not.

Today was a fantastic day, the Brazilian community showed its strength by holding a Threadcast with 3100+ comments and 720+ views, a historic feat for the entire Hive and now, this feat is ours, it's Brazilian! We are the first to move so much within inLeo and if I'm not mistaken, according to @taskmaster4450le himself, the old record had been 1800 and something (correct me if I'm wrong), then together we managed to create something unique, a great feat!

Within all of this, the focus of my post is something that is at the basis of this great achievement: how can we define a community? When we think of a community, do we think of something with 100, 200, or 500+ members? Everyone talking and interacting with each other? Or can we also call a few a community, with hypothetical numbers of 10, 15 or 20? These are very interesting questions, but the main point is to understand that there are no rules that define this. Community is everything that two or more people propose to defend, live, coexist and evolve together.

By this, I mean that not all members of our community helped us with Threads, it was much less than we can imagine, I believe maybe 20% of our total staff were able to help and this involves countless variables that cannot be judged, as many were certainly on working hours or something like that. So, is our community disunited or going bankrupt? No, I truly believe that this is not the case!

The right way to have a community does not exist, every day is a learning opportunity for all members and in my view it is natural that some will help and others will not, some will participate in everything and others will not, that is how life goes , whether here at hive or in reality, a group, family, friends, company, will always have the extremes, those who help a lot and those who just ride on success and defeat simply disappear. This is the cycle, this is the path and it depends on each person to decide whether to help or just look.

One of the threads that caught my attention was something like “damn, the rest of the community could be here, they could help comment and engage in this Threadcast” and I completely agree, it could be like that, but it isn't, so my answer was something similar to the title of this post: one thing I learned was that instead of focusing on those who could be here helping with something and are not, we must focus precisely on those who are here, accomplishing something, growing with the community, putting into action the plans, events or challenges that may appear or that are combined.

This is the real focus, on those who are willing to work hard and put everything into practice, be it for a call to action or participating in a meeting that can improve for everyone, these people who are together, in example the crazy people who stayed all day long creating threads, they have to be your goal, your joy and your commitment to continue and not the others who never appear, but are always posting and asking for votes and more votes. We must somehow show them that they can improve and participate more.

Focus on those who are active, but, obviously, respect those who never help, you need to bring them to the field, to your side and I believe that doing this by example is the best way, even if it is more difficult and boring and requires more patience and calm from all members. Focus, remember this, focus on who is doing and happening for the community!

Hoje foi um dia fantástico, a comunidade brasileira mostrou sua força realizando um Threadcast com 3100+ comentários e 720+ visualizações, um feito histórico para toda a Hive e agora, esse feito é nosso, é brasileiro! Somos os primeiros a movimentar tanto dentro da inLeo e se não me engano, segundo o próprio @taskmaster4450le, o antigo recorde havia sido 1800 e alguma coisa (me corrijam se eu estiver errado), então, juntos, nós conseguimos criar algo único, um grande feito!

Dentro disso tudo, o foco da minha postagem é algo que está na base deste grande feito: como podemos definir uma comunidade? Quando pensamos em uma comunidade, pensamos em algo com 100, 200 ou 500+ membros? Todos conversando e interagindo entre si? Ou podemos também chamar de comunidade alguns poucos, com números hipotéticos de 10, 15 ou 20? São duvidas bem interessantes, mas o ponto principal é entender que não existem regras que definem isso. Comunidade é tudo aquilo que duas ou mais pessoas se propõem a defender, viver, conviver e evoluir juntas.

Com isso, quero dizer que não foram todos os membros da nossa comunidade que nos ajudaram com as Threads, foi bem menos do que podemos imaginar, acredito que talvez 20% do nosso efetivo total conseguiu ajudar e aqui entram inúmeras variáveis que não cabe julgar, pois com certeza muitos estavam em horário de trabalho ou algo assim. Então, a nossa comunidade é desunida ou está indo à falência? Não, acredito fielmente que não é isso!

O jeito certo de ter uma comunidade não existe, cada dia é uma oportunidade de aprendizado para todos os membros e na minha visão é natural que alguns irão ajudar e outros não irão, alguns irão participar de tudo e outros não, é assim segue a vida, seja aqui na hive ou na realidade, um grupo, família, amigos, empresa, sempre terá os extremos, os que ajudam bastante e os que só pegam carona no sucesso e na derrota simplesmente desaparecerem. O ciclo é esse, o caminho é esse e depende de cada um decidir se vai ajudar ou apenas olhar.

Uma das threads que me chamou atenção foi algo como “caramba, o restante da comunidade poderia estar aqui, eles poderiam ajudar a comentar e engajar nessa Threadcast” e eu concordo plenamente, poderia ser assim, mas não é, então a minha resposta foi algo parecido com o título dessa postagem: uma coisa que aprendi, foi que no lugar de focar naqueles que poderiam estar aqui ajudando em algo e não estão, devemos focar justamente naqueles que estão aqui, realizando algo, crescendo com a comunidade, colocando em ação os planos, eventos ou desafios que podem aparecer ou que sejam combinados.

Esse é o verdadeiro foco, naqueles que estão dispostos a trabalhar com afinco e colocar tudo em prática, seja para um chamado para a ação ou participar de alguma reunião que pode melhorar para todos, essa galera que está junta, no exemplo os malucos que ficaram o dia inteiro criando threads, eles é que tem que ser o seu objetivo, a sua alegria e a sua entrega em continuar e nãos outros que nunca aparecem, mas estão sempre postando e pedindo votos e mais votos. Devemos de alguma forma mostrar para eles que podem melhorar e participar mais.

Foque naqueles que estão ativos, mas, obviamente, respeite aqueles que nunca ajudam, é preciso trazê-los para o campo, para o seu lado e acredito que fazer isso pelo exemplo é a melhor forma, mesmo que seja mais difícil e chato e exija mais paciência e calma de todos os membros. Foco, lembre-se disso, foco em quem está fazendo e acontecendo pela comunidade!
