[Acid Plays] Battlefield 5 Campaign - Under no flag

in Hive Gaming4 years ago

I was looking for some new games to play during my "free time" as world of warcraft feels a bit dull now before the new expansion comes out that's set some time this year - I'm guessing it's unsure exactly when either cause it's too early or due to covid but can't help but feel that the latter has had a big effect on the release date either way. I remembered that before I moved away from Finland I pre-ordered Battlefield 5 and only played the open beta before that so I started downloading it on Origin. Having missed most of what has happened ever since it's release or how many are still playing it I was surprised to see the amount of new campaigns that existed that I didn't remember existing way back. I believe I played one of them so I moved onto the second one called "Under no flag".

Battlefield has always been an amazing game in my eyes, the push of the company to utilize game engine's to the max and make the game as beautiful as it can be for current hardware really sets it aside other ones altho there are many lately attempting the same.

I started recording it without voiceover at first as it was just a test but I didn't want to miss any of the campaign and leave it unrecorded as that could've meant cutscenes that would not have played back if I just restarted it. Also I realized that recording it at 1440p with GeForce Experience was taking a bit too much of a toll on my GPU and possibly rest of the PC. I mean even my SSD was already almost full after downloading the 88gb sized game. So this first part is going to be a bit laggy and spikey now and then, I even think the video is a bit worse than the gameplay was cause it might be that the GPU focuses on the game prior to the recording but either way, just warning you.

The next part when I decided to put my mic on and lowered the game's output of the sound I also adjusted a few graphic settings so it wouldn't lag as much but noticed too late that my mic sound was still a bit too low. Which is started to be really annoying cause I have the game's sound output at under 60% while the mic is at 100% with a 20% boost on.

Oh also I thought I'm really good cause of my CS:GO experience so I put the difficulty at hard and got rekt quite a few times but if it's too easy then it's not fun - I usually say.

This was the end of that campaign, I really like how it turned out on video watching it at 1440p it's pretty neat. Can't wait to see what future games will be like although I'm afraid I'm going to have to upgrade my GPU or get another 1080 TI. Those 2k series GPU sure look sweet though, hopefully they become a bit cheaper until some great games come out you don't want to miss out on playing them and recording them at max settings.

Hope you enjoy the gameplay, let me know what you think of BFV! If you have any other games you'd want me to try out feel free to let me know about that too and I'll check if my budget allows to purchase them. :3

Yes @borran, I'll try to remember to continue the GTA5 campaign very soon. (noticed the other day that game was taking so much space in my SSD and remembered I was going to continue playing it :D)

You really are making me want to stream my Tekken7 plays! :D

I haven't played much fighter games since Street Fighters on the Super Nintendo. :3

Lol! Many have gone to other games but I've stuck with them pretty much since the PlayStation 1.

I have an issue tho. ;(
Since I'm from Iran, live stream from YouTube is impossible, so I have to use twich.tv for my streams. The only problem is that I always encounter this message after trying to upload the twich video here in Hive.

Do you think there's something I can do about this? Thank you @acidyo

Yeah nothing we can do, just have to wait for someone to patch it on the front-end the way the peakd.com developers did for theirs.

Do you think it's ok to post the streams from twich.tv, even without their preview picture?
Because there's no chance for me to upload in Youtube here in Iran.

Definitely one of the golden series! I've grown up with this series and funny or not I still haven't tried any of the battlefields out even if I was addicted to shooter games for almost 8 years!! Now seeing this, makes me want to grab them and spend some good hours in the game, haha :D

I admire those who are into gaming, it is definetely challenging mentally. I am not a gamer, but as a perfectionist, I think it might become a wonderful addiction lol.

You should look into speedruns, now that's perfectionism + gaming in one package.

Was going to make a post about it some time ago but things got in the way. :p

Oh nice, I think that it is mandatory to have a pc setup especially for gaming, a suitable equipment. My laptop would turn into french fries if I would even attempt it lol. But good to know there are options out there to tame the ocd perfectionist people. Thanks😊

Yeah laptops are a bit handicapped in general with power supplies, etc. Always weaker than the desktop counterparts, even if you have a good cooling system like the ASUS laptops and an additional laptop cooler under it, it's not going to perform as well.

Although haven't really tried streaming with laptops since 5 years ago so things may have changed as gpu's are becoming really powerful, but at the same time games are requiring better and better hardware. xD

So I guess nothing of what I said made much sense really, I need to remember to use Engage btw, thanks for the reminder.

Oh yeah, the cooling part. Maybe if you work in a refrigerator and take along your pc gaming unit with you, you might be able to pull it off. Until you freeze to death lol. At least you would die doing what you like hahha. I saw so many cool gaming setups, the design can be so geeky and nerdy in the good way.

Streaming from a laptop.... Well been there done that. Not the easiest thing to do. Now I stream from my phone and I don't even care as long as the message goes through and the video is ok. But in order to become a professional streamer with a nice audience, I guess a streaming room would be fantastic. Equipped with mics, cams, lights, coolers, freezers all the good stuff lol. Gosh I think I would never get out of that cool room😂😂😂

Recently I joined the engage club lol, I promised to myself I would be spreading them out generously to the best of my abilities hihihihi

I need to record my gaming for this one too. It looks awesome. But my farming game is way more fun.

What is your favorite online game @acidyo? Soon I will post my favorite online game if I am not busy in our projects. I will introduce it to the best introduction that I know in my knowledge only.

Hard to say, usually FPS games due to the competitiveness but I manage to find it in most games one way or another.

The only FPS I like was the Mobile Call of Duty. I did play always the wargaming.net games.
