In the Axie Infinity arena, anything is possible. But with these birds costing only 0.01 ETH each, have I gone too far? Can I win with these?
I'm not going to lie, the process for buying these birds was pretty simple. We went to the marketplace while I was streaming and started to scroll around for birds. Within ten minutes, I found two ridiculous looking birds that both have the "trump" card Air Force One.
Air Force One deals 120% damage when you use it on two different Axies in the same turn. The chain is awesome since the baseline stats are strong even on their own.
Most Axie Infinity cards add up to 150 total baseline or less but this card adds up to 155. I'm realizing the thumbnail actually uses the old version of the card, the attack damage got boosted so now it's 125 which makes the card even stronger.
So I bought the birds.
Budget Teams and Reality
The reality is it is very hard to pilot a budget team beyond 1700 MMR or so, especially floor budget teams like these birds. Still I was surprised with how strong these birds are. It feels like on the right day with the right comps to queue up against this team could actually shred.
