RE: How are you holding up through this lockdown?

I enjoyed seeing these pictures from your corner of the world! The beach looks like a very peaceful spot to think and decompress.

The past few weeks have been interesting here. We had almost 80 straight days of quarantine. Just as most things were set to gradually reopen here in Minnesota the protests and riots began. It's been a very intense week. Not everyone at these protest rallies are practicing social distancing so I expect the rate of new infection to spike within the next 5-10 days. In this state the elderly have been hit the hardest. I think upwards of 80% of the deaths have been those in long term care facilities. What a year this has been. I hope @roelandp has an epic HiveFest event in the works so we can all blow off some steam later in the year!

Thank you Eric! I've been following up on everything that's been going on and it's quite stressful to observe too. I'm expecting the infection rate to spike further in India as well and find ourselves in the top 5. Our recovery rates are fudged due to the new discharge policy so I don't expect any major positive news in the near future.

HiveFest would be great but i'm not so certain travel would be safe or easy for the foreseeable furture. I don't feel confident enough to travel right now personally speaking. I'm sure for people living in low hit areas, it would be easier to travel. But without a vaccine wave 2 of the virus is highly probable in countries where recoveries have been high once borders open and free movement is allowed once again.

That's a good point about the travel-situation. It might be best to plan for 2021 instead. We had trips planned for Ireland and Toronto this year and it looks like we'll have to cancel both of them.
