Why Web3 is a Game-Changer for Creators

in Proof of Brain3 days ago

I never thought content creation was for me years ago. Those days I felt overwhelmed by the thought of what i was going to create. But here I am today, writing this post, sharing my experiences. Funny how things change, huh? Yesterday i shared my experience with those who took part in our Hive Virtual Training Day 2 and I reminded everyone that we are in the content creation era; an era when content creation is not the next big thing but the current reality.

To give you an idea, the world is changing and those capable of creating content of any sort will be creating opportunities for themselves they never dreamed were possible. I shared that as a way of inpsiring them because a lot of people are apprehensive to get started with Hive. They feel engagement on Hive requires time, energy, and consistency. For instance making an informative or educative content here is not something that you can simply do here in just few minutes and even after expect massive results.

The thing is, even the creators making snappy videos on TikTok or Instagram have put a work into it. They schedule content, shoot multiple times, edit, and interact with the public even after publishing their final work. Regardless of the format, creating content is work. Content is the future, and that is a fact.
Now everybody wants to be rewarded for their work and thanks to web3 for creating that opportunityfor creators.

Web2 social media models often derive value from their users’ content while providing little in return, whereas Web3 models provide a more equitable return. Web2 apps like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram even though are not decentralized but are already starting to explore Web3 accents of monetisation to lock users into their platforms.

They know that everyone has seen the value in their digital assets and expect to be rewarded. This is where Hive excels, because it was designed with this concept in mind from the beginning. It is a system built to give control to creators, so they own and benefit from their work, without dependence on third-party control. Users are already experiencing this freedom and reward system on Web3-based platforms like Hive, while mainstream platforms race to establish similar offerings.

I realised being a content creator isn't about wheather you have the skill or not but just starting anyway. It won’t start out easy but then everything worth building always require much effort and time. In time, you will discover your voice, attract your audience, and come to understand that creating content isn’t just a monetary pursuit—it’s about creating something of significance in the online world.

With the world gravitating towards rewarding digital contributions it pays to get ahead of the curve rather than playing catch-up later. I can’t believe I’m doing this, years ago I thought blogging and vlogging wasn’t for me. Perhaps a few years from now i would even appreciate it more I took that i took the step.
