RE: Decluttering & Remembering

in Proof of Brain3 years ago

I watched this video about this Minimalist some time back. Can't remember her name now.
But this is what she did too.
They had bought a house in the suburbs and while they were renovating their new place, she had put most things in storage.
Then when they moved into the new place, they only brought the absolute basics and in time realised they didn't need anymore.
But it is minimal like crazy sort. Only 3 pairs of clothes, no spares for towels or bedsheets. Wash and use. And when they go on holiday they just pace what they have which is next to nothing and let their house up for rent.
I was fascinated and for a bit talked about it but hubs was like, nope!! haha

Yeah, I realised the kids don't care for the books and the readers (that's only my daughter) read online as have I. So I said goodbye to most of the books so someone else can read them.
Having said that, I still have many and so does my daughter - she will not let me give away her Percy Jackson series, How To Train Your Dragon series, Warrior Cats series and a few others.
So we still do have a few ;D

Sort:

I have stopped shopping for clothes, handbags, and shoes, except when it is needed!
I probably buy twice a year only.
I have two sets of sheets per season at home. The rest I have in storage, I don't know why I have so many sheet sets, some are unopened! I really have to donate everything, ARRRGH!!!
