I find readers not being able to wrap their heads around giving their books away haha
I totally get it - still have some of my faves but mostly my daughter's faves because she instructed me to hang on to them for her for now ;D

I have a book which was my older sons first book .. he still hangs on to it at 27 .
He was a book worm.. now he has no time to sleep let alone read.
hehe

That's precious

My boys can't be bothered to read. I managed to get them to read when younger but now it's all about the gadgets

The first one is a book worm.. the second one is an okay reader.. more into sports.

No gadgets for the boys when they were younger.. so they are no so stuck now.

It was minimum gadgets until the lockdowns - only a couple of hours over the weekend.
Then I had 4 teens staring at each other with all activities taken away from them - the gadgets became their socializing tool with friends while they play their games.
This is the thing I feel saddest about the lockdowns...

Having said that...the gadget isn't the demon. Everything in moderation of course and it has allowed them some fun without going made stuck indoors :D

The lockdown was the worst for the teens. I wrote a paper about that on the other site for UU.
I interviewed some teens and their parents before doing that and looked up studies as well.
Nothing is the demon, its all about how we use things.
I understand.

Oh, I missed it on the other side
I would love to read it …
