The perennial flowers are filling all my gardens with gorgeous blossoms. These Foxglove are scattered throughout the butterfly garden and are stunning this weekend.
The photo doesn't do them justice, so I tried to get some closeups too.
I'm in love with the apricot shades this summer to compliment the darker pink Foxglove.
One bearded Iris has survived the winter and the Iris bores. This used to get dozens of flowers every spring, but now it is down to one stalk. :-(
This was always my favorite due to the bubblegum scent that it offers. It always reminds me of my childhood days when my mom would give me bubblegum.
To the west of the greenhouse is a shady garden area. I hang my hammock here to relax in during the summer. My last Peony bush among the ferns has opened later than the rest due to being in full shade. It was a special hybrid that I purchased many years ago. The petals are all split and curly compared to a regular Peony flower.
Another plant that has gone wild in this garden are Alliums. No matter how many times I dig them out, they still manage to come back every year to give me something else to manage. lol
On the back edge of the property behind the greenhouse is this huge Mock Orange shrub that has opened and has sent her wonderful fragrance to the neighborhood.
Another tree, the Koussa Dogwood had begun blooming. It always starts out with lime-green flowers which turn white as the weeks pass.
This is the garden that surrounds the Koussa tree; now that it has become a nice size, the plants that were sun lovers have had to be transplanted elsewhere.
The Verbascum Southern Charm are still blooming nicely, and I am going to let them go to seed and see if I can get more plants for the butterfly garden next year.
Next to the porch is the little pond where all the birds take a bath and the critters come for a drink. The sound of the water falling offers a peaceful atmosphere while sitting on the porch.
The hanging baskets at the pond are starting to fill in now that they are getting more sun than rain. The Oriels and Hummingbirds come often for the sugar water.
The Orange Azalea is in full bloom, and this is right out my kitchen window and to the east side of the porch.
The flowers are so vibrant and such a delight to see every spring.
I should try to clone this one and put another one somewhere else to enjoy.
On the trellis facing South in the vegetable garden, the Scarlet Clematis has survived another winter, and the flowers are huge.
The Clematis is intertwined with the Wisteria that is budding above it. Soon I will get to enjoy its wonderful fragrance while in the garden.
Near the yellow squash plants this purple tower Columbine is looking so dainty.
That is a wrap for today's garden update for what is blooming this weekend. I hope you are enjoying some nice weather too.

Fantastic garden full of colourful flowers. Those butterflies and insects are having a great time in your garden.
Thanks, everything is blooming so pretty now that the weather is nicer. I imagine your gardens are doing well too. Give my love to the orange cats. ♥
Either you have a large fenced-in yard, or you don't have any deer in your area, or everything you plant is deer-proof. I know they won't eat foxgloves or iris, but what about everything else? Every time I see a lovely flower or bush I'd like to plant, I have to ask myself (and an expert), "Will the deer eat it?"
There are 7 deer that are regular visitors and growing every year with the new fawns. They really are not a huge problem, but at times in early spring they chomp down a lot of plants. I do have netting around my vegetable gardens that is 6' high to keep them out of there, but the flowers they leave pretty much alone. They do like to eat all my blackberries though, naughty deer. I wish you good luck with choosing your plants and hopefully they will leave them alone. ♥
Super garden /
Thanks, Mike!

Hello wow what a beautiful flower garden .. I really really love it ..
Thank you so much, I love my gardens. Thanks for stopping by. ♥
Your garden is already so lovely! I've not planted the replacement foxgloves yet as I've not gotten to that garden to clean it out. No gardening today as I've an appointment early this morning. That clematis does have huge flowers!
You will get them in soon. I have to try and start new foxglove and delphinium this week along with greens and more lettuce. Have a great day.
