Fruits in the Backyard

Hello, my dear Hivers!

So now, I will be sharing the continuation of my previous blog, where I'll be highlighting the experiences we had with my co-interns and the probation officers.

It was actually my first time to be here, and this Captain Barangay is not familiar to me since it's a distant place, way too far from our place.

When we arrived, what amazed me was their second-floor house, which is made of wood. Just look at the walls and the window. I was truly starstruck because it's been a long time since I've seen a wooden house personally, and theirs looks shiny, which is so good to look at. However, the ceiling already has mold, maybe because it gets wet, but overall, the walls and everything look authentic.

Then, we went straight to their garden or the back part of their house since the barangay captain was there.

As we were walking, I was next amazed by the variety of fruits in their backyard. It was so nice to look at, especially for me, who is really into fruits. My meal is never complete without fruits. So yeah, another moment that made my day because it's just different when you see the fruits still on the tree. It's just so nice, especially since these are avocados, and there are many of them.

Also, they have sugar apple, and here's a closer picture of it. It's been a long time since I've eaten one of these. This picture was able to capture the small and large-sized guavas in a single photo. And the leaves are somewhat similar to a mango's, which are long and a bit thin.

Next, they also have breadfruits and jackfruit. Although they have similarities in colors and shapes, the outside look of the breadfruit is shiny, while the jackfruit is a little spinny. Sometimes, some people get confused.

In addition, they had lomboy fruits. At first I was really confused about the name, thus, I asked my co-intern what it is called. There's a certain word I was looking and I knew it in my mind, but this word was only at the tip of my tongue, and I could not say it. So I asked him, but my co-intern answer was not the word I was looking for. So, I then asked the probation officer, and when Maam mentioned the name, that is when I finally able to breathe a sigh of relief because my question was answered.

Finally, they have a miracle fruit tree, and their tree has lots of fruits, which are very good to see. A few minutes later, as I was looking intently at the other fruits, one was drawn with a somewhat angry face, and that's when my friend said, "Take a picture of me here, pretty," and so I took a few shots of her with the angry face tracing of the miracle fruit.

And then, after we looked at their fruits, we had a late lunch, and yes, we were really full because the foods they prepared was so delicious.
