Ah, and that sand patches are always an eye sore. Nowadays people install artificial lawns that is even more of an eyesore. A small section of the back garden here was also covered in the stuff, but thankfully I brought our wooden outdoor blocks when we moved here. Amazingly just enough to cover the lawn and turn it into a deck.
I am good with pet nicknames but not pet names for people, so I just call everyone "friend". Such as, how are you my friend when somebody greets me :)

Wood deck still allows water to soak through unlike fake lawn that soars the soil underneath, good idea keeping wooden blocks for repurposing.

The amazing thing was that I had enough to cover the whole area, plus 4 left over to spare.
Unfortunately we left a heap of our river rocks behind and now I will have to find some others.

Plenty of river rocks at the rivers, it is getting them home that is back breaking. Oh well each venture out take a rock home for awhile.... !LUV

Ditto, when originally starting up the garden collected many rocks from various places to use for borders in a natural look.
