Late afternoon and we are trapped in the fierce South-Easter wind called the Cape Doctor.
But nothing prevented me from going outside to show you the color changes in the sky before nightfall. Oh, and I also have a new toy.
There are many videos on YouTube showing how pedestrians are struggling to walk in the streets when the Cape Doctor is blowing and some are very funny. But you can go and look, as I want to concentrate on the color changes here after the sun has gone down.
So then come and take a walk with me in the sky.
I placed this post in the #wednesdaywalk community managed by my good friend @tattoodjay
As we walk things are gradually growing darker.
Then by chance back on earth we found this new prop.
Again I concentrated on the color changes around the lamp on our gate post.
Finally you can see the faint outline of the full moon in shadow, but no way that I could get it clearer with this strong wind blowing through the atmosphere.
There is always so much to see here and it is a pleasure for me to go out exploring, to show you the beauty that surrounds us on land, sea, and sky.
I regularly take walks mentally in all of them, and it is always such a great pleasure to see the stunning views.
Nature was designed to be totally independent and self-sufficient and it plays such a critical role in sustaining this earth and everything that lives on it.
Such a pity that so many profit hunters don't care about nature and they simply continue to destroy everything in the name of progress. A false name for profits.

BEER.Sky has been amazing of late, that wind doctor of yours paid me a visit as well, one plant half down.
Well the plant will have to remain where is lays as it would be too heavy to move, destroy other plants as well if interfered with right now.

Sorry to hear and yes, the past few days we have had a bad time with the Cape Doctor. And this is only the beginning as it arrives unannounced until March. So maybe it will also now continue to affect your area.

Strong wind can be so damaging lost a cycas couple of weeks ago with it's head blown off, now the money fruit plant where I captured pics of them upside down enjoying the fruit, perhaps other half will survive.

I bet that our full moon will be clouded over again and if it is, then it will be the sixth time in row that I couldn't get the full moon. Maybe I am punting for a Guineas World Record in missing full moons :)

I have photo's not posted, sad when destroyed looking good before big wind.
Moon captures sometimes I don't take my camera out during the night, still enjoy irrespective it's all in memory bank.

I agree that destruction is always so sad to see. We have not been back to the nature reserves since the last visit, as all of the beautiful varieties of Protea bushes were wiped out.
It will take a few years for them to be fully restored again,
Ha! My camera sits right next to me here and it goes to sleep when I go to sleep. My memory bank is a bit confussed lately 😛
