Gratitude: The Seed of Joy

in Freewriters9 months ago (edited)

We all have an innate superpower within us...a superpower that allows us to produce whatever "emotional cocktail" that we desire or succumb to. That superpower is "perception". Its what seperates us from the millions of other species on Earth, and in part gives us dominion. When properly utilized, mastering your perception can lead to a joyous, blssful experience.

Its important to understand that we, each individual, has the absolute final say so on how we process our reality. The stimuli we receive is only considered "good or bad" after we internally make that specific judgement. These judgements are what is constantly molding our very experience. The "master" doesn't internalize any of his/her experiences as "bad", or "good" for that matter. You see this truth illustrated by Yogis, Monks, Sufis, and other mystic sects.

What the typical person views as "bad", really just "is". The mystics take this a step further. They find deep gratitude in seemingly negative experiences, and can be absolutely ecstatic about what most consider mundane.

We can learn a lot from the mystics about the superpower of perception and how its the guaranteed path to joy. Joy starts with a choice.
