10 Minute Freewrite Keyboard Test.

This is a test of my old black widow v3 keyboard to see if the d key is still stuck is it stuck? i dont know before it was going DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDddddddddDDDDDDDDDDDDDD whenever i pressed a key next to it but now it seems to be fine WOOOOO! I had to take the keykap off and then I pulled on the switch with a switch puller. It isnt a hot swappable keyboard which is why i didnt think it would make any difference but i guess it did.

Maybe I shouldnt have bought that 100 dollar keychron k4.... this one seems to be working again and tbh I still really like the blackwidow v3 even though it seemed like it was gonna be a pain in the ass... Who wants to take apart a keyboard, unsolder a switch, put in a new switch, and re solder it just because the key was getting stuck? not me let me tell you! I went for the keychron because it is hot swappable and it has been great buuuutttt... I am not really a fan of the keykaps it came with and it doesnt have the same level of customization for the rgb and keys that i get with the blackwidow..... the switches are much quieter though which is a good thing in my new living situation with a much smaller space and thin walls. before I could hammer on this clicky thing all day long and not really bother anyone but now I am not so sure.... It might wake sky up when im smashing keys at midnight! This thing is definitely clicky af.

What to do what to do what to do? I guess Ill end up using both- having a bluetooth keyboard is clutch in some situations but the typing experience is simply better on this. It is also totally possible that the d key will get stuck again by the end of this typing experiment or next time i play a game with wsad controls. Will have to play something later today and test that. For now I am back to enjoying this and will hold the keychron in reserve and for my laptop lol.

For the record I refuse to become one of those mechanical keyboard elitists that just has 350 keyboards in a closet and spends every weekend soldering keys and tinkering. A man gotta type though. And if you type a lot why not have a keyboard that is great to type on. Look at this I've just done about 500 words here as a little test of this thing. Perhaps I'll be inspired to do more keyboarding now. Who knows though....

Freewriting like this with no time limit and no plan, just a train of thought as I type all of this out to test it is something I need to do more of. just keep typing and do your best not to make mistakes and see where you end up.

Thankfully I have pretty good typing accuracy and dont really have to delete a lot to do corrections or check myself. Its almost like how we do Lets Write Together events except Im not interrupting myself to answer questions or think through what the hell Im gonna type.

Very Freeing!

Just the clatter of my fingers on a keyboard. its almost mesmerizing. I could keep typing for days when it feels this nice. I guess I have been missing this keyboard more than I thought. Ill fix the RGB next. It makes a difference.

With only a few minutes left on the timer before I said I would stop I am running out of things to say about typing,. Oh well. Just keep going anyway. At least It is the weekend. Ill have time to do a proper post later today maybe. Ive got to fix up my tortoise with his new home first though. Hes been in a temporary plastic tub since i moved in to the new house with my daughter and he needs a real set up. Its not ideal. He seems pretty happy though with the situation but its got nothing on the spacious tank he was used to. Maybe Ill put up a post about that when I finish it up. his old home had plants and multiple different levels and types of soil and stuff... he loved it. Not sure I will be able to create something quite that cool this time around though. smaller space and it will probably have to be moved again at some point., so simple is better, but i still want it to be a nice home for him! and with that we have hit 10 minutes., timer is going off and I guess I am done.

Woo for a free write! Ill keep you posted about the keyboard D key as well- I am sure you will be waiting with bated breath to find out if it sticks next time I play a game and gets me killed LOL
