RE: The Thousand Year Inn

in Freewriters2 months ago

People reason "what ifs" and caution themselves to protect from the hurt they feel may result from it. Sometimes the rejection of one's offer is more painful, especially since in this story, the young lady has been refused several times in the thousand years.

The situtaion could have gone both ways. I just feel she didn't want to chance it with someone she truly had feelings for and be refused once she explained. Her reasoning...asking someone to wait 7 more years without being able to be a 100% spouse both day and night would probably be shocking to the average man.

Chances...one should always consider them. But some shyly stay in their comfort zone for fear of rejection. It happens in everyday life today.

Thanks so much for your thoughts and engagement. I appreciate it. Take care.
