In (telephony) Glare is termed as a call collision; the situation where an incoming call occurs at the same time as an outgoing call.
My parents decided to create a funfair gathering of the family members on the second day of Christmas which happens to be Boxing day. This will make our extended family members and distant relatives visit our new abode, after the necessary preparation is made the only thing left is the arrival and the gathering of the family members. My father called on me to pick my uncle from the main road close to our house. I went there as instructed on getting to the main road. I called them to find out where they were, they are a few kilometers close. After a few minutes I called them and he explained they were in a situation, they ran out of fuel. Before I could say anything an incoming call bridged his call, it was my girlfriend. I picked the call immediately and we talked for more than forty-five minutes because I was begging her to forgive me. During the time of the call, my uncle and my parents had been calling but I couldn't pick up because I was carried away talking to her. They missed the road and returned home angrily.
I was punished by my parents.
