Greetings Readers
We're going to have another flashback today. We can see how Kay and Bolx's friendship developed and why it was so important that it did.

She then seemed to pause and turned to look at Fledge once more. She studied him for a moment before looking at Saita.
“Do you still have the Truth Seeker abilities you got from old Queen Saasha?”
“Somewhat. I use it now and again.”
She tapped her forehead and then poked Fledge in the middle of the forehead. “Can you transfer something I know into his mind?”
Fledge slapped her hand away and looked at her in disgust. Saita pondered the question before asking. “Why?”
“Because I know exactly where and when we need to go to save your son and husband. And if I am right, Fledge here has an ability to take a string of numbers and translate that into where and when we need to go.”
In that moment, Saita wanted to throttle Kay. Kay had been the answer to every question Saita had ever wanted to know. Although while the anger bubbled within Saita, she knew the reason Kay never told her anything was because Saita had buried her deep. She had never allowed the previous Fell Dragon to have a voice and so, why would she ever willingly give up vital information.
Yet, this wasn’t revenge. If it truly was, then Kay never would have said anything. With her own body and her old companion, why would she hand over this information instead of just leaving? No, there was a reason she was giving this information now, and Saita was sure it had everything to do with the friendship between Kay and Bolx.
Setting aside the anger she felt and the hint of betrayal of Bolx never telling her about any of this, she gripped the back of Fledge and Kay’s neck.
“You think of what Bolx told you.” She said to Kay.
She then fixed Fledge with a look of pity and said, “Try to keep an open mind. I’m not especially skilled at this.”
She thought Fledge would struggle, but instead, he closed his eyes and accepted what was about to happen.
Bolx found her wandering the castle corridors. It had been some time since the Dragon had made an appearance. He wondered if she had gotten better at hiding her appearance or if Saita had gotten better at hiding her presence. Regardless, he needed to talk to her.
“Kay, can we talk?”
The woman with the face of his face, but a mind that was so different, half turned and nodded her head. It was a weird habit she had. She always turned her blind side to someone when they spoke to her, whereas Saita always turned her seeing side to people.
“Would you like some breakfast?”
Kay crossed Saita’s arms across her chest and grimaced in pain.
“I suppose I should, seeing as she is lactating, meaning there is a youngster that requires nourishment.”
Bolx couldn’t help but chuckle, “Our third child. Not as much of a surprise as the first two. Did you see them?”
She shook her head and faced away from Bolx.
“It must be strange for you.”
“I don’t see why not, I’ve been pregnant before.”
Kay then paused, and a look of confusion came over her face. “No, that’s not right. Was I? Was it Saita? I don’t recall. The memories are too intertwined.”
Bolx gently took her arm and steered her to the kitchen. He knew the kitchen staff would often have something prepared in case their king and queen decided to grace the kitchen instead of the dining hall.
Turns out Kay truly was the key in all of this. At least answers are soon inbound.
