Ever wondered why time seems to fly by too fast?
@mariannewest's Freewrite Writing Prompt Day 2047. Prompt: no time for that
He knew they were on a mission but his partner seemed to be forgetting what day it was...
"Have you truly no idea what day it is today?" He'd asked.
"Might be the day we get sliced into tiny, little pieces?" She'd answered back as they both effortlessly stepped over the intricate webbing of lasers in this part of the room.
"I actually had something planned for today..."
"Could you cut this blue wire first before you go about your plans please?" She was too busy to even spare him a glance.
"It should actually be the red one, but sure, it's our day anyway." He did as she asked.
"What was it you were even planning to have done today of all days?!!" She asked as they both were running as far away as they could from the still ticking time bomb.
"No time for that!" He huffed as they stopped far enough from the explosion site.
"Well?" She panted when they were far enough.
"Today was supposed to be our anniver--" He didn't get to finish what he was about to say when she pulled him in for a kiss, and with the ensuing explosion from the background, it all felt bombastic.
