A battle-crazed lord and the Magic Mirror
A battle-crazed Lord Richard has captured the Alcazar Castle in Segovia, the home of Snow White's stepmother, the Queen.
Dressed in armor, he arrives at the queen's chambers and finds a magic mirror.
But he doesn't realize that it's a magic mirror. On the right side of the mirror, he sees the apple that the queen was going to give to Snow White.
Richard looks at himself in the mirror and smiles.
"As usual, Richard, you are handsome. You are the most handsome man in the world. You are the best swordsman in the world." Lord Richard looks in the mirror and gives himself words of praise.
Then the mirror says
"You are a great swordsman. But the best swordsman in the world is knight James."
Lord Richard looks around in surprise.
"Who is it, come out now?"
The mirror speaks.
"I am the magic mirror."
"A magic mirror?"
"Yes, I am, and I can tell you who is the prettiest and who is the strongest swordsman in the land."
"There is no swordsman stronger than me. I am the greatest swordsman in the world."
"That's your own opinion; the best swordsman in the world is knight James."
Lord Richard could not stand it.
"I will destroy you. Is James Knight the best swordsman in the world, though?"
"Yes, he is."
Lord Richard was furious and threw the mirror as hard as he could, but it didn't break and didn't crack.
He struck the mirror with his sword, but it did not break, nor did it crack.
"This must be a magic mirror," thought Lord Richard.
"Mirror, mirror, is there any way I can defeat knight James?" said knight Richard.
"The only way is to poison this dagger and kill him." The magic mirror replied and held out the dagger to Lord Richard.
Lord Richard, a battle fanatic, smiled wickedly, clenched his fist, and said.
"The best swordsman in the world must be me."
Lord Richard set out to find knight James.

That mirror is evil to want to end Knight James' life, simply because Lord Richard is uncomfortable with having another swordsman better than him.
