Director of the movie - my two cents!

in Freewriters7 hours ago

Often times I deem life as a movie, with humans as it's actors & characters and one supreme being the Director of the movie with billions of stories under his belt, directing them every day and producing some blockbusters along the way.

How often do I talk to the director of my movie; I ask myself? How often does He send instructions? Nada! Yet, my life is a grand movie, a rosary of moments threaded together into one complex narrative.

Do we get answers when we ask questions or we are all left squinting at the props and cues scattered around our lives? Is it supposed to look like a Greek tragedy, an incomprehensible, unending return of the Odysseus?

Am I doing right, is that enough, I wonder! I am left with riddles, and I hear whispers now as I age and grow into my role that say, “Hey, it’s not about how big your role is. Just play your part the best you can.”
Just Be the best you can, really? how do you measure best? how do I measure my best?

Maybe just like every good actor who improves over the years of doing the same role, or some bad actors who just suck at it and quit far too soon, we also grow into our roles in our life or the life weighs us down. I believe, its worth the wait in the end. "You be the best you can", and don't quit on your life just yet. Surely there will be applause at the end, and when the credits roll, your name might just be at the top, and screen might just freeze there for a while!

A Five Minute Freewrite: Director of the Movie

Hey free-writers community 👋
This is my first entry into daily prompts, and I don't even know if I can discipline myself to write one small piece every day. It sure feels good at the end of it.
Your comments will really help me keep going! It can't get worst surely, but it can't get better if I do not get suggestions and improve upon it!
