Inspire me

The calmness of the weather, the cool touch of air against my skin as I walk, sauntering through this quiet path.
Without distraction from the outer world.

It's the start of the second half of the year, the month of July and my birth month.
‘What have you achieved in this first half?’
A daunting question I shudder at asking whilst roaming and handling my day-to-day dealings and can only do so on walks with myself.

‘You should do this more often.’ in an attempt to avoid responding to the first question.

I posted a picture of myself and gym instructor wishing him a happy birthday and an acquaintance thought it was my birthday.
She sent me a message; “Happy Birthday young lady. I am mighty proud of you at your tenacity and consistency in your workouts. Have a splendid new year.”

I should feel proud of this compliment because I have been at this for the longest time and encouraged so many friends and acquaintances but I felt rather sad that, that was all I was known for.
I was set to beat myself up but restrained myself from doing so.
I should count my blessings and be grateful. ‘You have done amazingly well through this season dear.’
Then before my birthday finally draws close I will ensure I change the narrative because I am still breathing.
The calmness of the environment and the beautiful flaky clouds are all the inspiration I need to grow.
The inspiration in me is one I am most grateful for, the still-soft voice of encouragement. I know I can.
