A new release of peakd.com is now available. Keep reading to discover the new features and check the full list of improvements ;)
The new release is now live at https://peakd.com
1. Default/Required Beneficiary account for Communities
A community can now define a 'default' or 'required' beneficiary for posts published in that community. This option is not supported at the chain level (or Hivemind), so keep this in mind if you want to enable it. Probvably the only community using this feature at the moment is PhotoGames.
When this option is enabled a label will be shown on the community rules:
Introduce the '@peakd.bot' account to automatically handle posts not using the required beneficiary account
If you want to automatically mute posts not respecting the required beneficiary setting you can add the @peakd.bot account as a community moderators and it will take care of it.
This is still and experimental feature, so feel free to report any issues you notice ;)
2. Other Communities Improvements
Support public Templates in communities
Communities can now define public Templates (owned by the community hive-000000
owner account) that are available to their users when they want to write a new post:
Only templates marked as 'PUBLIC' will be available in the dropdown. You can mark a template as public on this page: https://peakd.com/me/templates.
Allow communities to have a Curated Collections (CCC) page
Similar to what is already available for user pages it's now possible to add a collection page to communities:
Allow up to 20 preferred topics for communities
You can now set up to 20 preferred topics for a community
3. Testnet Support
This is not completely new as we have supported Testnet in the past, but we did some improvements and better support for multiple login methods. This is intended for advanced users, but if you want you can have a look here: https://testnet.peakd.com
Important: If you login using Hive Keychain remind to change the RPC node used to cast transactions otherwise you will cast them on the actual chain.
4. Notification counter in browser tab
It's now easier to see if there are new notifications directly on the browser tab/page title:
5. Image viewer for comments
Image viewer had been available for images in a post for quite some time, but now you can enjoy the same for images in the comment section. Just click on the image to see it larger ;)
6. Some minor improvements and bug fixes
As always some minor improvements, updates and fixes across the website. You can check the full release notes here: https://peakd.com/about/changelog.

Support the @peakd project
Now is probably a nice time to remind you of the ways you can support the development of @peakd.
We have a proposal on the Decentralized Hive Fund. You can review the proposal here.
If you agree to the proposal and you think the points mentioned add value to the Hive Blockchain consider supporting it using the above links or directly with this link.
We also run a witness server to help produce the blocks for the Hive Blockchain. You can vote for our witness so we are in a position to process more of them.
Vote on the witness page: https://peakd.com/witnesses
- Using Keychain: You just have to click and approve the transaction
- Using HiveSigner: You'll need access to confirm the transaction with your Active Key at least

I love PeakD!
Constant updates that provide us all with a better way to experience Hive. Great work as always you all.
We love our users. Helps to have people that help test and give quick feedback.
That is amazing. Can't wait to get that on #main.
Should be available on peakd.com now
should be on-chain level. This would allow to grow the community with funds and empower them. Like little businesses here. Or from community to own Token.
Really cool peaked implement it on the front end, good job!
yeah but no backend development has been done on communities since before Hive started. There is talks about that happening after the HardFrok. We'd be happy to see that done. Until then we have this nice solution.
Can the new notifications count be toggled on/off? Maybe also the old notifications count directly on the website?
We will be redoing the settings page to make it more organized and maybe that would be a decent feature to add because some people don't like notifications at all.
Sounds good!
Great updates that have been so awesome for @photogames to make a great come back!
Good updates ;)
keep on the good work ;)
Namaste 🙏
great job! Thanks :)
All good stuff. Thanks for all the hard work.

Hello @peakd
I'm trying to see the all the members of the Bulgaria community, but in the subscribers tab it seems to show only like half of them. Do you know any way to see the full list? Thanks.
Hey, thanks for reaching out. We plan to release an update in a few days (or early next week) that should include a change to fix this and show the whole list ;)
That's nice to hear!
Namaste 🙏
Hey there @peakd team just a quick question...
After the update, I lost the setting of the channel...
So I need to add the channel ID again...
But I just can't remember how I did it the last time :)
Thanks in advance...
@asgarth
Strange, that should not be related to the update. Can you generate a new channel ID using the green button?
Or do you want to use the previous one?
@asgarth
I would prefer to use the previous one if that is possible :)
Thanks in advance.
Namaste :)
You can probably find the correct number (channel ID) here: https://beechat.hive-engine.com/
Login and go to to your settings (https://beechat.hive-engine.com/dashboard). You should see all the channels created by your account.
Thank you I think the problem was that I was not logged in via peaklock in here in peaked.
I was allowed to make everything else thru the setting via Hivesigner.
Possible?
@asgarth
Yep, unfortunately Beechat (the system we use for the messaging system) does not support Hivesigner :(
What is the chain id so that we can change the api node in keychain to make changes there?
Hi! Can you explain me why I have no possibility to claim account creation token in my wallet?
someone else reported to @asgarth and i believe he's looking into it.
Will be fixed soon. If needed it's already fixed on our beta website: https://beta.peakd.com
@peakd Question...
How a post that is posted via Ecency app can be charged beneficiary for a community post if set by rule for the community...
Another way if you have set up the bot will remove all the posts...
This is something you should request to the Ecency team. We created this feature/option/setting in a way that is available also to other frontends. But is up to them to implement the change.
And the bot is a workaround solution to be sure the rule is actually enforced in a specific community. Hopefully in the future this will be supported directly at the chain level.
