Haha 😂 he left me to do it on my own, so no romantic moments there lol. It turned out to be a good thing because you're right he spent the entire time taking shots from below while waiting.
The fuel situation was crazy and scary. There were no women around, mostly huge trucks that occasionally passed. This also happened to us again one evening when we got lost in the desert in the dark, running in circles after sunset because the GPS didn't work. Since then, we had a spare fuel can for rare desert trips like these.
At least his "not-so-romantic" gesture led you to having these crazy beautiful shots!
I wouldn't dare to venture out on a dessert without a spare gas thanks to this blog! Haha.
But I'm adding hot air balloon adventure to my bucket list now! but perhaps I'll do this in Europe and not in the middle of a dessert 😂!
No worries, pick up and drop off are part of it, so no risk of running out of fuel haha. We were just stubborn to do last-minute detours without checking in advance how far the gas stations were. Perhaps by this time, more gas stations are present.
I guess flying in a hot air balloon in Europe is also beautiful especially over beautiful rivers and lakes or better yet, a huge lavender field.
