Visiting the GREAT WALL of CHINA, Badaling Great Wall

in Worldmappin2 months ago

Traveling is the most exciting way to heal eternally from all the unhealthy things in the world. Welcome to my other travel story. I have visited the GREAT WALL of CHINA, Badaling Point. Most of the time, I am busy at my desk; I have become a nature lover, and I always want to visit places with natural beauty. The parts of the Great Wall of China in different locations in Beijing are so attractive to me, with their greenish appearance in summer when the trees on the mountains look amazing at that time. But it is almost the last week of October, and in Beijing, winter is coming in a few days when most of the trees will lose their lives, and the leaves will have changed their color from Green to yellow or brown.

So, this is the perfect time to explore the beautiful leaves of these mountain trees, especially in the forestry area, as the Great Wall is in the deep mountain area. The view of the clear sky is very attractive, with the colorful leaves, and the viewpoint distance is also very good during this time because the air quality is very good.

It seems that mountains covered with green trees are now covered with trees with colorful leaves, and most of the leaves are becoming deep Brown, with some with yellow and very few with green can be noticed. So, the views of the forestry area from the Great Wall are impressive this time. The end of the autumn will bring the temperature to sub-10 degrees from the 16/18 degree level.

Let’s talk about my destination first, which is Badaling Point which is very far from my location as it is around 80 km northwest of the Beijing city center. Still, there are frequent buses and some subway lines up to half of the way to the Great Wall, but the bus is the best way, in my opinion, as it is a direct bus to the area. The height peak of this part of the Great Wall is more than a thousand meters from the sea level. This huge construction is really a miracle of how they built it during the 16th century during the Ming Dynasty of China.

I have been living in Beijing for more than 5 years, but I haven’t visited this part of the Great Wall so far though this part is the most popular one, due to the distance from my district house and the inconvenient public transport, I haven’t visited that so far. But it was a great plan to meet with some of the Bangladeshi who have come to Beijing to complete their PhD at the same University as mine. We plan to visit them and meet together to have a good time, and we can speak our country's language. At my institute, I have no friends or colleagues from Bangladesh.

I wanted to meet with them and talk in Bangla for a while, so it was a great time with them, and I spent some quality time last Sunday. As I told you earlier, there is no bus from my location to the Great Wall. The easiest way is to hire a taxi, but it is too costly from here so I wanted to use the public transport and, so I checked the map, and I found the way that would take me; since three or four buses to change in the complete route so I told my Bangladeshi colleagues to set out a little bit later after I set out because my colleague will take text because they were four. According to plan, I woke up early in the morning and just after started the bus journey early in the morning, around 7:30.

The way to the Great Wall area is really amazing as this northern area of Beijing has the highest number of mountains and forest parks. Through the beautiful roads, I reached the location around 10:30 a.m. In the meantime, my native country’s colleagues were a little bit late for setting out. They were also without the knowledge of the spot as they are all new to traveling in China, so they sat out, and they were still a little bit later than me, almost 40 minutes after my arrival, but there was a problem as I had chosen public transport. I arrived at the closest location of the ticket counter, but my colleagues were almost 2.5 km from my location. We didn’t know that these two locations had a circular shuttle to take them free to the ticket counter, but they told me to go to their location, and we had to move together. They didn't know properly how to get to the ticket counter, so I wanted to meet with them as they were asking for them as they were new here.

It was also difficult for me to learn about those shuttles, so I hired a taxi. The driver told me about the shuttle, and I got the shuttle to go to their location and brought them together to the ticket counter area. I found a lot of people moving from that place to this place to bring all those visitors from that area to the ticket counter area near the entry point as that far location is the initial destination for the transports from the city area. Still, my route was different, and I was near the main entry area.

But I didn’t know about it, so I needed to go there and visit them and then come to the ticket counter area. This took a lot more time for me, and we were a little bit late. But it was okay; noon is not so boring or tiring because it's winter and a pretty sunny day. We were lucky there was no heat or cold, and the weather was so comfortable that day.

The day was very sunny, and the view distance was perfect. We could see the farthest area of the mountains very clearly. The great wall looked like a big snake was lying in the mountains. It was fascinating for the first time when I visited the Badaling part, so I was very excited to check out the new area. Then we started climbing the mountain's peak, a very steep, challenging part of this GREAT WALL.

So, we didn't climb up a lot more to the peak, which was very far. My colleagues were very tired, and they said they would not finish all the distance, so I said it's up to you how much we can or you can go. We will come back after some time when you want. It's not a good idea to climb very high mountains without prior experience. We spent more than three hours on the wall. We explored the surrounding Beauty. It was beautiful, especially this time the weather was good, a little bit cold, not so cold, and not so hot.

With this convenient weather, it will help you to feel comfortable. Walking up is very tiring during the summer season. In freezing winter, it is challenging because the temperature drops very fast up to the mountains. So, after more than three hours, we climbed down to the entry area. Many shops sell many things you can buy, as well as many interesting things in this area, from cultural to fancy things as gifts.

Some of my colleagues bought something from the shops, including gifts for their wives and family members. I explored the beautiful things in these shops but didn’t buy anything, as the price was relatively high, which is normal for such scenic areas. I enjoyed this morning because visiting a great place always makes you happy. Maybe I will come back very soon to explore the winter here.

Gigantic things like the Great Wall will make you feel what a smaller creature we are and how the ancient Chinese created such gigantic construction in this harsh condition without the modern technology that we are using now for our construction during those old times. It was a great opportunity to explore this, and I am very happy to have met with my Bangladeshi brothers.

There were so many people because it was a holiday, so on Sunday, the people were enjoying this time in the comfortable weather winter is still not in the ground, so people are traveling more these days before the bitter winter comes because it's tough to visit any places in the future winter.

I hope you like the photos that I have taken from the Great Wall. They are beautiful and will have some positive effects that will soothe your heart. Such travel will help you relax from the busy life that we are living in these modern days. So, I want each other to have a great day, to come here again and again to have a great experience, and to have a good day from all perspectives, from mental to physical. I hope I will find something new in my next blog on my travel stories.

I hope you like my visit to such an amazing place on my weekend. It was amazing to have such tours to an amazing place like this with the history of science and lose myself away from the whole busy life! If you have any queries, let me know in the comments, and I will try my best to answer them.

Thanks a lot for your time and attention, I will catch you at the next one.
Wish you a great day!

I was surprised by the number of people who visit this great wall. Seeing these images reminds me that it is one of the places I always wanted to see and visit. Thank you for bringing it up. Best regards. @tanzil2024

Yeah, the last Sunday was the last holiday of October which is one of the best months to explore the Autumn beauty in Beijing so the pressure of the tourist was very high and the great wall was covered with so many tourists. It was a really amazing as the weather was also very comfortable to climb up to the wall. Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you for bringing this report and telling me about the weather, as it is important for planning a trip to this area. I assume from what you tell me that the fall season is the most appropriate to visit it, greetings friend. @tanzil2024

Yeah, the different seasons will make your travel different with different levels of beauty, like winter will be silent, and no natural beauty at all except the snow-covered mountains, and it is also not so easy for a slippery paths to climb. Summer will make you so tired that you can't make a far observation during hot summer days. And fall is now as you can see the surrounding is eye-catching and the weather is really comfortable as a great wall no shelter from the sun to protect. Another season is also preferable, like in late April to May, when spring beauty and comfort can make your trip a great one. hope you understand, you can also read some article in the net before planning your trip. Have a nice day!

Thank you for your detailed explanation. I will take notes on what you are telling me. Greetings, friend. @tanzil2024

I have never seen the Great Wall of China, I have never even been to China. This wall is a marvel, one of the most beautiful things in the world

Yeah, this marvelous thing is really worth visiting. I hope you will have a chance to visit it. Thanks for your comment.

China's Great Wall is a monumental masterpiece though it's fallen into disrepair. There are a lot of interesting histories connected to that wall and you must have been excited to see it and also to visit the mountains nearby and view the trees with their leaves. Thanks for sharing the experience with us. Have a great day.

Yeah, I have also read some history-connected to the walls. Several months ago, I visited a village which was built long ago for the people who were working for the construction and later as the guarding force of the wall. And still, the village is just by the great wall, and the people have many stories and cultural things attached to the great wall, which is really fascinating. And it is amazing to explore and anyone can amazed with the massive construction on the mountains without any modern technological tools that we use now. Thanks for stopping by!

Waao!! impressive adventure!! I love that place, you took me there in this pictures!!

Yeah, this place is amazing to explore. Thanks for stopping by!

assalam alaykum! @tanzil2024 !
Dear Hassan!
I find it amusing that you often write articles about the Great Wall of China!
I guess you visited the Great Wall of China a few days ago!
I wonder why you are interested in the Great Wall of China!

I thought you wanted to meet your Bangladeshi friends there!
I wonder if you took pictures of them!
People who have visited the Great Wall often talk about the difficult climbs, the lack of drinking water, and the lack of toilets!

I felt that you have lost more weight than before!
I wonder what meaning and value China has in your life! Your life in China will never be easy!

Don no batt!
I hope you stay healthy because the winter in China is cold and cruel!

Actually, there are many points to climb on the Great Wall, I have visited several locations of the Great Wall. This location is the most popular one among the foreigner; this was my first visit to this point of the great wall. So I feel very excited to explore the new location. Still I have another location in my plan which is also very beautiful.

Yeah, I have visited the Great Wall with some of Bangladeshi people. But I have omitted those photos as these are not good manner without their permission to upload here.

I don't think there is any issues with these claims. I found many vending machines in the top of the great wall where water and many drinks were available. Also, you can take snacks and drink there without any problems. Also, I found plenty of toilet facilities in my all prior visits more than 10 times to various locations of great walls.

Thanks for your comment, I hope you enjoy my travel stories.

Now that's one in a lifetime experience! Love how the wall is accompanied by the colours of Autumn! Makes everything so much more special!!

Indeed, it is a lifetime experience when you put forward your footprint to one of the most gigantic architectures in the world. And the surrounding nature during this autumn is really sweet. Thanks for stopping by!

The pleasure as all mine! Really happy to see this, even if just through pictures! Have a nice day :)
