Visit With Me the Botanical Garden JEVREMOVAC In Belgrade🌳🌵

These days people are not able to build a garden, because of the lack of space in their homes and also some think that it is a waste of space so the gardens are no more present in the houses🌳🪴🌷.
Humans often seek out nature and green spaces to help cope with life stress.
Furthermore, the smell of the flowers and other plants can refresh a person’s mind anytime and not only that but humans are meant to be in nature more, not in houses sorounded by technology only.

The Jevremovac Botanical Garden is a botanical garden in Belgrade, Serbia. A forgotten paradise in the center of the city and the pearl of the capital. Yes, life today means a constant rush, running for transportation, delays and obligations, obligations, obligations. I am saying this from personal experience, because even though I live 45 km away from Belgrade, I never had the opportunity to visit the Botanical Garden, I always had something "smarter" to do when I went to Belgrade. My mother kept telling me all the time that its her biggest wish to visit the botanical garden. We haven't seen each other for a year because she works abroad 😔, and now that she came home we decided to go together for a day to enjoy only the two of us. When I told her that we will go on a short trip on a Saturday morning she was really excited!🥳The Garden truly represents a real balm and refuge from the hustle and bustle where the soul can relax and have a good rest. The entrance is decorated with autumn vegetables, flowers and leaves🍁🍂.

In fact, Jevremovac is a wonderful place to study, it offers great scenes for painters and photographers, it offers free internet, so it is also a convenient place to work, since this paradise protects the world from noise and provides clean air filled with the scent of flowers🌹🌾. Thanks to its beauty and the preserved spirit of the past, the Botanical Garden is often the location that newlyweds choose for their wedding(honestly,thats my dream wedding), as well as directors for filming series and movies🎬

In this unique place, visitors can pass through all continents🌍. It has the status of a 2nd category natural monument and is protected as a cultural monument. It's the first and so far the only botanical garden in Serbia whose establishment is linked to one of the biggest names in Serbian botany - Josif Pančić who was a passionate botanist and geographer.

It is located in the inner center of Belgrade,a 10 minute walk from the Parliament, the adress is Takovska 43.It was buit in 1855. King Milan👑 decided to donate the land after the first location on the banks of the Danube, where it stood since 1874 and was destroyed due to flooding of the river. Milan inherited the land from his grandfather Jevrem Obrenović, and he had a condition that the Botanical Garden must be named Jevremovac, in memory of his grandfather. It houses about 1,000 plant species🌻, the building of the Institute of Botany with an extremely valuable herbarium (founded in 1860) and a library (founded in 1853) with about 13,000 library items. The botanical garden is located at an altitude of 86.82 m to 99.85 m.

In 1892, a glass garden was created consisting of two wings connected by a central dome on an area of ​​500 m². A glass garden in the Victorian style, which exudes the spirit of old times and is an attraction in itself after the completion of the works, the Glass Garden was considered the most wonderful in the entire Balkans and beyond.For me this place is my favourote from the entire garden.It has a lot of cacti and other plants which need to be in a warm place🌵

THE JAPANESE GARDEN 🎍🇯🇵

The Japanese garden, the jewel of the Botanical Garden was buit on May 18th, 2004, the Japanese Garden - a collection of Far Eastern flora - was opened The idea was supported by Japan, which provided financial resources to create a harmony of plants, water and stone. According to Japanese folk belief, spirits live in the stone and, arranged in groups of three, symbolize the unity of man, heaven and earth. Water, on the other hand, signifies constant change in nature, while plants have special symbolism - the pine represents longevity and love, the cherry represents eternal youth, and the maple depicts the life cycle and reminds us of the finitude of man. Decorated with plants from the Land of the Rising Sun. I read that the builders while they were building the Japanese garden, they respected the Japanese rules, which meant that they were not allowed to argue during the work and had to dig a long way to find a source of water so that it would not be an artificial lake🏞.

The property on which the garden was created was located on the site of cleared mixed forests of larch, cherry, field ash and beech. Individual trees of sedge, cherry, and field ash, whose age is estimated at over 120 years, are the only remnants of the former autochthonous vegetation on this area.

Gardens need lots of energy for the electrical equipment compared to normal house gardens. Special equipment is used to neutralize the soil for the different species and give the plants their required nutrients. Snd that's probably the reasons you have to play the entrance but the good part of it is that its not expensive. A single ticket for an adult visitor is 300 RSD which is 2.67 USD,single ticket for children from 8 to 15 years is 100 RSD or 0.89 USD. Children up to 8 years old (only accompanied by a ticket-paying companion) have a free entrance. Isn't it great?It is open every day from 09:00 to 17:00 (entrance is allowed until 16:00) This was my first time visiting this garden and I was honestly expecting more exotic plants such as some carnivorous plants etc. But later I realized that because of the climate here in Serbia, it wouldn't really survive like some other plants. But I can't say that I was disappointed because it was a wonderful experience and I would love to go again. So friends, if you decide to visit Belgrade, go ahead and visit the Botanical Garden. There is also a café where you can serve yourself a coffee or a drink ☕️.
After visiting the garden me and my mom took a walk trough the center of the city and we found a double decker bus which had no roof and we went on a ride trough the most famous places in Belgrade and it was really FANSTASTIC,I never imagined that I would ever go on a ride on a bus like that one.The ride lasted an hour and when it finished we went in the famous Street Knez Mihailova where you cand find a lot of shops and restaurants, we had lunch and went on a walk by the Belgrade Forstress "Kalemegdan".It was a really nice day, we had a lot of fun and I can't wait do go again on a mini weekend trip.
