It's been a while since I done a Loo post, this time it will be an Amsterdam one from my few days during HiveFest.
First up are these funky toilet doors in the venue on our first evening out. We went to play boules, a ball game using metal balls. The venue was like a restaurant, bar and sports place all rolled into one and was very busy. I loved these funky toilet doors.
On the second day, HiveFest was held in a church called Zuiderkerk . This is the ladies and it looks straight into the main hall. I always felt quite exposed going to the toilet because everyone could look straight in there and see me coming out from the cubicle, washing my hands, or tidying myself up.
I went for dinner with a few girls one evening at a fancy restaurant. The toilet was very stylish. The walls were painted in charcoal grey with brass hardware on the sink, mirror, and a lovely decorated door handle.

On the very last day, we had closing dinner at Karzv De Hoop, one of the oldest boat club in the Netherlands. The toilets here was pretty normal, but I figured I'd take a snap to complete the picture.
And finally, it was time for me leave Amsterdam. These toilets were taken at Schipol Airport. They're pretty basic to be honest, nothing to shout about. Expect for this free standing basin which I thought was very nice. Normally basins are by the wall, this one was in front of the window looking out to the airport buildings. It the first time I've seen basins positioned like this. I think it's much nicer than the boring ones facing the wall.
ANSWERS TO THE OCTOBER HPUD GUESSING CONTEST

I see why you love the artwork on the toilet doors, they are beautiful, it looks so stylish, hehehe.
I hate it too when people see me coming out from the toilet, I'm sure I will not go to such toilets, I will have to wait because I'm a very shy person when it comes to such things.
That hand washing basin at the airport is so cool, I'd prefer looking outside from such view than stare at the mirror all the time, although I know it is also for security reasons too.

The heavy wooden doors to the loos in the church were impressive. I ought to look out for some interesting facilities to post here.
I didn't notice the heavy doors in the church, was so conscience of everyone else outside when I went to the loo!!!

For the life of me, I simply could not see the side of a bench in the guessing contest!
That first toilet really has super funky doors, I love their painting style! Reminds me of a famous SA cartoonist, the late Jock Leyden, whose paintings grace the walls of a local theatre.

I got the bench but didn't quite get which part. It really looked like the back rest and not the side though. Anyway, will try again next month. Can't wait to see what you have for us. Keep safe.
