Hive As A Journey

in LeoFinance2 years ago

I received this comment last night on a post and had no idea I had done so many as staying consistent becomes a way of life. Talk about a timely reminder as this is something you never really think about as you are constantly active. The figure of 2500 posts sounds like a lot but actually averages out at less then 2 posts per day. Kind of nuts still knowing how much time has been taken up producing and researching 90% of these posts.

Time is something you will never get back and knowing the 41662 Hive earned (hivebuzz) may or may not justify the time spent. One cannot look at it in value terms in $$$ as this is a journey where you are part of it. The growth is mainly personal and possibly, hopefully it will turn into a monetary one at some point later down the line. The spinoff is Hive has helped me grow personally benefitting from a change of thinking especially around my business and how I do things.

The question is and what I always tell myself is what would you have done with that time if you weren't on Hive" Watch movies or television most likely and where is the benefit in that as there is very little to fuel the mind and nothing really keeping your brain active. Most television channels are full of repeats anyway and I can still watch what I want to if I make the time away from Hive. Everything since 45 months ago is now in reverse and couldn't be happier with the lifestyle change.

Granted writing isn't for everyone and I was one of those who never used to enjoy it and was a little shy when I first started out thinking this was a little crazy and a bit out of my comfort zone. You cannot knock something until you try it and give it a chance. The first month or so the only upvotes I received were my own plus a few others which I am always grateful for. Writing now is a time of relaxation and something I really enjoy as it is a thinking time which I use to relax and problem solve. Most of my business related posts are exactly that as it clarifies my thought processes.

Things change though as you learn to improve and if one looks back at those first 100 posts things do change drastically. I think you start to add personal insight making the posts more interesting showing your character which is what makes it your blog. I am not one to be bothered about trending as this is something you have no control over anyway so why worry.

The journey is staying consistent and being true to yourself as why be someone you aren't. On here I am no different in the real world and like to keep things simple with things that interest me. I will continue posting daily as long as I still enjoy it which I believe shows in what you publish daily. The problem with Hive is that it offers many extra things and more are being added being developed behind the scenes. I can see myself in another 45 months seeing another Hivebuzz comment saying you have completed 5000 posts and the difference from day 1 until now is I am looking forward to that. When I joined Hive I had no idea what I was walking into and that is the best way having an open mind with no expectations.

It’s my 4th year on Hive in December. I can’t help the euphoric feelings I’m feeling. I can totally relate.

Funny how thing do change and it is all about giving yourself a chance. Writing and me are not meant to be yet here I am. Happy you stuck it out as you were one of the first to comment on my posts years ago.

Lol how can I not remember. I’m also glad to see you stuck it out all through. It feels good to see your growth and that you’re still here.

Get a room you two... lol I first came across you on the Quora clone we had running on Steem. It was a good resource I thought and enjoyed it there. I wonder what the dev is doing now?

😂😂🤣😂😝...

I enjoyed that app too...while it lasted. I wonder that too and also wonder what ever happened to the dapp...

Your commitment is impressive. Well done @cryptoandcoffee 👍
See you at 5000 posts 😅

Thanks as your little posts updating us via comments helps a great deal and is something that is really appreciated.

I really appreciate your efforts sir and the good work so far you've done in your regular posting and am very sure some people here too are learning from you especially me in other to promote or improve in our writing and posting as well. Keep up the good work @cryptoandcoffee

Thanks for being consistent. Believe it or not your success on Hive (along with a few others) inspires me to take this place a lot more seriously.

It really does help in personal transformations too. I recall a time when I only did lazy poems because I felt I was a terrible writer. Today I certainly don't feel like that, and that discipline and consistency is reflecting even outside of Hive

well done buddy.

I am with you. I kind of started to ignore those comments after a while too. I think I am a bit behind you, but I just keep doing what I do. I think some people appreciate that "atta boy" and it keeps them motivated, but for me, I just keep doing what I do. It's habitual now.
