Monitoring Growth For Inspiration

source

Hive is different to all other investments we have as it takes not only time but also personal commitment by staying active supporting others along the way. This is not a solo investment like all the others are as you rely on others for support in order to grow. This is the social side and what makes it fun and so different compare to one dimensional staking.

How many look at their investments daily as I am sure I am not alone and is a habit I cannot shake. Good or bad this is the part I enjoy about Crypto as it gives you the confidence and belief when you see an investment growing daily.

The targets and goals increase due to the growth which is only going to pay off in the future and why sticking to a simple plan is the one that often works. Gaining the knowledge and understanding what each project offers when it comes to growth is time well spent. Why wouldn't you take the time required to understand where every token comes from and why.

A blockchain like Hive is unique in many ways as there are so many opportunities to grow and is not one dimensional like the majority of projects out there. The simple staking and sitting back with the occasional admin of harvesting those rewards is just a rinse and repeat with no thought involved. Don't get me wrong these are just as enjoyable as the growth is there to see each day. Hive is not like that however and possibly what scares so many new users as simple is not in Hive's vocabulary.

I know when I first started out the idea of posting and commenting was kind of outside my comfort zone and not something I would normally choose to do. Over time those fears of making a fool of yourself have disappeared as it is all about self confidence. The belief you can make something of yourself online by what you offer is the hurdle we have all faced.

My hurdle was a good 6 months before I felt accepted as part of the community which is understandable as most accounts were milking and disappearing due to the bear market. The majority of followers I had back then have long gone but this was the best thing really as it showed I was serious and was here to stay. If you are new and feel out of your depth give it time as the more you learn, the more you understand which then makes Hive so much easier.

Monitoring your growth is a tool for not only seeing how well you are doing, but it does inspire you to achieve more and more. I used to chart my growth and being so small even 100 Hive over a number of weeks was massive growth as an overall percentage. Don't panic as the growth does start to accelerate on all fronts this only takes time, but the important factor is you are growing.

Use the tools you have around you like Hive Stats which has multiple items you can monitor. The graph showing the 7 day or 30 day analytics of your growth or something basic like your Hive Vote value. This is what I use as it highlights what I give out and what I receive due to voting posts and comments. This I believe will be the most important growth for my account in 5 years time when we hopefully have 10 x or 100x the number of users. Don't forget the reward pool stays the same so the earning of Hive will become that much harder to achieve.

Monitoring growth is part of the fun along with being part of the community as this is the package deal. If you are not involved then the Hive experience will not be as fun resulting in less growth all round so they are definitely linked to success.

I think my biggest hesitation with starting was the fact that I didn't think my content was good enough. I wish I had not let that get to me. I could have been on the platform before the bull run that started in 2017 and I might have been able to take a bit better advantage of it. So many missed opportunities. I guess all that matters is that I am here now...

Good point as self doubt has held most of us back and why we probably spend an age creating posts as we have standards.

Yes, common but rookie mistake by me.
