Due to Crypto, saving money is being redefined, nowadays people don't just save for a singular reason, these days it comes with an intentional compound purpose. However so many still equates banks with security, but in recent times, the bureaucracy of banks makes people choose flexibility over the supposed security offered by banks. In this Video I talked about how one can still use the banks and crypto together as they can be mitigate certain issues. I discussed how goals and life ambitions depends on the availability of liquid assets at the right time especially when the concept of time is an Important factor in building long and short term goals. I also talked about USDT, back schemes and other saving plans and how it can utilised well to help one build their goals.

Crypto offers a lot and stable coin just like hbd is one of the best way to save your money, you even save10% APR which i think it's huge because bank will never give you that kind of percentage in a year and your money will be in centralised organisation which they can give you any excuse not to collect.

Cryptocurrency as make it possible to save and build gradually

You can never be more right, the only function of my bank nowadays is to exchange, not save or hold any form of fiat. You talked about HBD and sincerly the opportunity is fantastic I wouldn't like to you. I've been exploring it myself, it's safe and fruitful.

I have not tried hbd savings but I will be doing that one of these days

I am using it. I received an interest of $0.01 HBD shortly after I deposited $78 HBD. Since then I constantly put my HBD into savings. I currently have $124.416 HBD in savings.

My current goal with Hive is to earn enough money (around $1000 USD) with Hive to buy and live on a small sailboat to get out of the financial discrimination (avoid paying the currently high rent and the also high regular, monthly bills).

Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.
All the best. Greetings from Hungary.

Its definitely a no-brainer, i've tried it and you can check your progress through PeakD especially if are saving HBD

Very good. I will work on that

What I hold in Fiat is just enough money for monthly expenses. Then, I keep some saved as HBD in case of unforseen expenses or impromptu investment opportunity that I may come across.

Everyother thing gets thrown into Crypto projects that I feel are good enough and worth buying it.

Government does alot of silly things. Our banks are shamelessly playing whistleblower for banks. It's insane.

The Emefiele's reign of terror is upon us, so I think the banks are scared of getting caught up in that crossfire, at the end we would see it they'd rather have the customers or play ass lickers to CBN. It's definitely a pathetic situation.

The US seems a little bit better in that regards but I don't know if I really want a bank to go out of business and rely on FDIC insurance. After all we all know how government takes forever to process things and it will take a long time before the funds are even returned to you.

Of course, that time factor is really important to me. We all know that timeline is definitely Important when it comes to money, sometimes banks here sucks at timing.

Banks have always sucked at timing. This is why FinTech was beating them up and taking away their extra profits.

In Nigeria, crypto is the direct competition the banks and they're trying to stifle it so that they'll keep enjoying that monopoly.

It's similar in the US but the rights of the citizens and states gets in the way of the government. However it does look like the rights are slowly disappearing due to the politics going on.

Saving via cryptos is more profitable than what most banks offer yearly , infact in some countries , you do not even earn any reasonable interest on your savings in your bank account...but there are many great crypto savings that you can do and earn up to 20% interest yearly.......and still even make more profits when the crypto experiences a bull run...

you're right

The banks feel threatened by crypto which probably is valid but forward thinking banks can leverage on partnerships in the cryptospace.

They wouldn't want that, because it's still feels like a sort of competition for them, but they'll eventually have no choice.

Getting involved with crypto creates saving mindset.

You can't be more right, since involving in crypto, it's made me better person both finance wise and even otherwise, that hodl and building for long-term mindset.

To be honest, putting a certain amount of money in the bank at this point is even scary. There is the fear of EFCC miraculously trailing you, breaking into your house to search for their head, or even calling you in for interrogation. Also, the fear of the bankers even giving off your information to certain criminals that could either rob or kidnap you and give them their cut. Let's not forget the crazy charges every now and then. It's a total mess!

I naturally seek ways to grow my funds with its safety guaranteed. Thus far on hive, I always transfer my HBD payouts to my savings. The 10% APR is not bad at all considering the shitty rates given by the banks for large sums of money invested over a long term.

This was a very educative video.
Thank you @josediccus
