building something like this intrigues me. at this point I would have no idea how to do something like building a token on here. I haven't caught up with the new updates on hive but I do remember years ago them wanting to implement updates that would make it easy for people to build on hive. not sure if its exactly that or something different but with the same idea
Now we can create a token on here with hive-engine which is easy to do; just fill out a form and pay the fee in BEE tokens. It is level 2, and it has it's own set of smart contracts but you can only use the ones they provide. They say that they might add new ones that a dev creates for a need they have, but I don't think that has ever happened.
With VSC, devs can write and run their own smart contracts. I think VSC is considered a level 2 sidechain, but not exactly sure. HIVE devs are working on smart contracts for the base layer but it might be years before they are released.
Smart contracts are needed for something like pTGC or @thegrayshive in order to implement the buy and sell taxes, and to send the assigned proportions of that tax to whatever address(es) they may go to, and to buy and burn tokens to reduce supply. I can maybe make the smart contracts as I am a dev (although no where near as experienced in blockchain work as may other are) but would like assistance and input in tweaking the procedures and parameters of the tax amounts, where they go, and what is done with them.
having the ability to launch tokens with dynamic functions built in would do wonders for hive.
The thing that makes PTGC really good is leveraging the AMM bots on Pulsechain to power their liquidity web.
at the moment the liquidity web opportunity on hive just doesn't seem like its there and not sure about AMM bots on hive
I have a feeling if hive price performance was significantly better we would attract more people here who can solve these problems and provide the needed liquidity
Right, I had forgotten about the AMM bots being a factor in pTGC's success. That should be doable now I think. I have vote bots on HIVE and a DCA bot on hive-engine that buys the lowest ask for a given token regularly. Maybe I'll work on an AMM bot some day. Lot's to do on that To Do list! :)

Something to think about for the future!

I really really REALLY love hive, especially LEO
but when I look at the opportunities on pulsechain I wonder if I should just focus on where the money is at
I just have a feeling that the day I give up on hive is the day before it goes parabolic haha
