Last night I set up a Hive frontend for the upcoming Web3 Music Competition on Hive called
Vibes.
The Website is still awaiting SSL certification so it might not be live at the time im writing this post.

The breakout community system is still in the development phase but once its ready it will allow anyone to create a Hive frontend with ease for basically the monthly cost of a single Vanilla Mochaccino.
This provides each and every Hive user the opportunity to create their own Hive frontend directly connected to the Hive blockchain with all features available to start off their community.
That is extremely powerful.
Access to blockchain tech used to be gated, only accessible through developer participation. Removing that obstacle gives more power to the regular people that might not have the skills required to build something on their own but have the skills to grow their own community. That is what we always needed.
How many times did you have an idea and no way to implement it?
How many times did you think you could do something better than others and never the programming ability to even try?
Now you can!
No longer will anyone on Hive need to beg the Peakd's of Hive to go talk to potential users on Web2 platforms. To promote the Hive ecosystem outside of Hive where those people actually reside.
Now you will be able to spin up your own frontend and do all those things these guys seem to refuse to do.
Vibes is here. I needed something ready so I could present a project that I consider to be valuable to people outside hive based on their own feedback.
Not what I consider to be valuable, or think they should find valuable, but rather what they made clear they would find valuable.
Besides the obvious, the idea here is to get a consistent flow of Hive/Vibes mentions on social media from people not on Hive, not part of our Hive echochamber.
In a sense, for them that are currently not on Hive to talk Hive to others that are not on Hive.
The ruleset for this competition will require their submissions to be on X, and link provided in a Hive post for the time being for that specific reason. To grow our social footprint.
So we become relevant where we should have been relevant a long time ago.
How will I attempt to achieve that?

Good call on the name.
This is a huge breakthrough and one i've been hoping for with years.
Especially since we saw the first tribes launched but never developed on.
Will there be ads on the site??
A way to generate revenue for your community.
At this moment we just want to get it going and attract users. I have done quite a bit of work already in the background, testing the waters and once everything is functioning in a few days im going full on marketing for this before Week1.
Since the site is very barebones, it basically links to what looks most closely like the Ecency community page, no ads were in discussion and they wouldnt really make sense at this point in time, but I am entirely pro-ads and if this manages to attract users in the long term they will be considered.
Rewards right now will be provided by ValuePlan and will be ongoing for a month.
If I hit our minimum users onboarded we will continue, if we do not, we dont. :)

No, i mentioned it in the post. We just need the SSL verification to go live and that takes 24 hours some times. Its set up right now, we are just waiting.

Hold on a bit! So right now if I wanted to create a community, I can do that even without knowing anything about HTML or Java or whatever codes nerds call them?
I can also make it do whatever I want to without waiting for someone to implement them for me?

What about nodes of sort? I hear people talking about those. Will that be a problem? @lordbutterfly
All you need to do is create a community here on any frontend, get a domain for 1-2 dollars a year on GoDaddy and a 5 dollar a month server on Privex or anywhere else. That took a grand total of 10 minutes to do and basically clicking "yes" a few times.
Right now the @threespeak team would help you since its not all developed yet but once its completed (wer talking a few weeks) that would be it.
I am also using this network and make videos and add daily in my post, we all need to get this popular all over the world.

I was clicking through comments and came to the break.
When I opened the link in a new tab I couldn't access the subsequent comments.
Clicking straight through like a normal person works, but if you get off the track the trail gets broken.
Further, when I tried to click up the comment trail, only the one comment was displayed and not the later ones.

When I post through the vibes frontend I earn vibes?
Its been live for only a few hours so I havent had time to test it out myself. Firstly the way its designed is that you actually always stay in the community page, ofc.. hehe you can venture elsewhere as you did here.
Im using it now while posting this comment, and it seems to work well for me. Its basically the Ecency opensource code thats behind this.
Right now there are no plans for tokens although 3speak guys are building that as well. This has a very simple goal. Extend the reach of Hive on WEB2 and leave the echochamber.
For that I need 3 things.
seems really good idea for community managers and people who love to truck their beloved communities. not sure if you noticed that but when you turn it to the "light theme" the page becomes messy.
