RE: Leo Pride - Farming the Community For Ideas

in LeoFinance3 years ago

I have seen some people say blogging has a limited audience. That may be so, but we probably still have plenty of growth potential. We could have more reddit-type discussions too. I am not against short-form posts and people can decide what those are worth. I've seen some doing that sort of thing with dbuzz.

I'm not so into discussing crypto all the time anyway. I want a good mix of topics and content.

Sort:

I'm much more interested in social engagement than blogging, but nothing stops people from writing a blog and discussing it.

The only thing that changes is we don't insist every post is a blog.

Engagement creates traffic, fun, interest and a community.

For many, a blog is work.. not fun.

I agree there are some challenges around price discovery.

I just think we should not set any limits on the sort of posts people can create, apart from not abusing the system with plagiarism etc. Not everyone is a blogger. Short-form content is very popular on other platforms and we want a slice of that action.

Every post is a blog. Problem is some people have a narrow definition of what a blog is. Short-form can be, long-form can be, personal reflections can be, factual articles can be. Blogs are as varied as anyone wants them to be.

Take a look at Seth Godin who has done short form blogging for years.

Videos and single images can be posts too. Put it all in the mix to suit all audiences.
