Came Too Soon

Doh!

image.png

I bought too soon.

And I knew it too. My spidey senses were tingling, but I chose to ignore them, and I have paid the price. All of my "hard work" has amounted to nought. Well, that is not exactly true, because that hard work increased my token stack a little, so while the value is down, the volume is up. When the markets turn again, then things will look much better than they do now. But, it is "frustrating" when I consistently do this, as missing out on buying in lower, means having less to go up later.

When will I learn!

It is the way it often goes though. As I have learned and when I have decided to hold off pulling the trigger, I miss the buy altogether and it rockets up. Pull the trigger, and I miss getting a 30 or 40 percent discount, as is what is happening now.

There is little to "fear" at this point though, as while some people think that "it is all over", it really is just starting. This is the first round f what is likely going to be another year of ups, and downs. Get used to it, savor it, love it.

Are you loving it?

I would be more, had I waited and could be buying now, instead of buying the start of the dip. It might dip more from here, but the lower I could have got it in the red, the faster it would have turned green for me. Now I have to wait for ages for the markets to get back into the green.

I might be weeks!

Don't you find it funny how short the cycles are and how high our expectations become in crypto? We see the price go up significantly for a week or two, and then act as if it will never come down again. The current price of Bitcoin is down 15% from the high, and is the same price as it was two weeks ago. And, the current price is 25% higher than it was three weeks ago. It isn't exactly terrible, is it?

Entitlement levels.

Fight it as I might logically though, I still feel the sense of loss, even though I have lost nothing other than the nominal value as described in fiat. When it comes to crypto, all my token are still exactly where I left them at the top of the market. At least by volume. However, because we live in a largely fiat world, we have to often think in fiat terms. For now at least. One day, perhaps we can all be "crypto only", but perhaps we can start the changeover by being "crypto-first" along the way. Starting to use it more, and perhaps using it in a more "public" way. For instance, maybe if I book a holiday, I will do it through Travala (AVA) and use crypto, if the prices are similar.

The other day I had to renew my Wirex card and I ordered another, even though I have barely used it at all, other than when I first got it and verified it worked okay. Maybe I will start using some dribs and drabs.

But not at these prices!

This is the other problem I have with crypto, as spend it now, and then watch it climb. It is (for me) hard to let go of an appreciating asset, even if it is depreciating at the moment. Ultimately, the crypto outlook on value is good, so spending it feels a bit like paying 10,000 Bitcoin for two pizzas.

We are likely in for a bit more red pain to come, and I expect there will be a long, red candle before it shifts significantly upward again, but it is all about the resolution of time. Zoom out, and the trend is clear. Zoom in and it looks like a disaster. But, market sentiments are just moods and as we know with feelings, both the good and the bad, both come and go.

I is "doh!" now, but at some point, it will be,

Fuck yeah!

Hi Taraz, how are you? I hope all is well, we haven't spoken in a long time!

Unfortunately I was unable to buy and invest anything, although I still accumulated something despite my inactivity; the fact remains that everything I own from my investments is there and will remain there for a long time to come, I have planned for the long term so at most if I have the opportunity during the downturns I will try to increase my assets!

I hope we will have the opportunity to talk a little more in the near future; in my family we still have some vicissitudes but we hope to return to normality before the summer is over.

I hug you!

I hope all is well, we haven't spoken in a long time!

I know and I hope all is well for you too. Baby doing okay?

Yes, he's fine, he's had his vaccines and has a bit of a fever but everything is normal; in a few months they will plan his operation, but he still has to grow a little.

I was thinking to buy some HIVE before the recent uptrend, I didn't then. Now it is around $0.30 around again. I might be lucky :)

Just pull the trigger ;)

Well, that is not exactly true, because that hard work increased my token stack a little, so while the value is down, the volume is up. When the markets turn again, then things will look much better than they do now

Amazing to read this side. Not an easy one now but a move that will make you feel like a super start in the near future.

Not sure a superstar, but it is better to be up, than down.

It is a shame that few years ago I only bought Hive for 245(?). Had I bought more I could have much more Hive now... Now it seems that if I would buy now I would get way too little. I hope that I will succeed selling that pile of art pieces... That would be nice. My current plan is to gift a piece to my city. I hope that they will take it and that will be a good advertisement.

I also found an auction platform for selling art. If I could sell my art there it would be amazing. Here I could only dream about prices like that. The problem is that in this platform only galleries can list art for sale.

.. Now it seems that if I would buy now I would get way too little.

Until it is at a dollar :)

It always depends on the resolution. Imagine buying $15K BTC today - and then buying it at 15K after buying it at 1K earlier.

There must be plenty of art sites around. One of my colleagues has a sister who sells through one, but not sure which it is. I will see if I can find out.

dont worry - pullbacks are perfectly normal and even healthy for a crypto run. things will be green once again, sooner rather than later:)

If it is not today, it is taking too long! ;D

😆😆😆

You should always have some amount of HBD and you will always be calm :)

I have some. I should use it :)

And next time,I should think about mowing the lawn before buying.

Crypto is 100 buys have a large percent that controlled by our emotions. It’s humanly impossible not to dip your toes into the market with all the frenzy that was happening and Bitcoin pushing higher and higher, along side the solana craze.

Hind sight is 20/20. Will always find a way of tricking us to play. It got the best of us this time. It’s only a loss when we sale, as it stands without selling we are investors.

Indeed a bit of red will be felt. The untrained eye will swell. However, those of us that have been bitten time and again. Take this loss with. Smile knowing that the market come to tell us it’s alive and let’s get ready for what’s ahead of time. Positioning our selves in front of tourists and retail who are still chilling.

Glad to see some one sharing similar sentiments. Painful it is. Am just happy I spent something in bought something that has potential to raise to astronomical levels. I missed the dip that I think matters the most for now. However we keep pushing and stay looking up.

Very good, I find it very interesting.

That's the market for you, Zig-zag lines are real. Green candles have turned red, leaving investors in jeopardy. We renew the awaiting.

Hive is indeed growing and I mean is not all the time you redraw everything

Dear my bro @tarazkp !

I felt that your wife's expression showed worry and anxiety!😧
I guessed what problems were bothering her!

I wish you and your family happiness!

Yeh that spidey sense is the actual instinct and the actual thing you should be listening to 😆

All good though? 🙃

I was shocked to see Hive around $0.3 today. It would have been better to buy this temporary dip but no more funds
I’m glad I benefitted from it though

I always buy at the wrong time too, so don't feel too badly. It's just the way it goes I think. I would venture to guess it's more luck that people actually buy in at the right time. The rest of us are just plugging along as best we can!

One thing I have learnt is that no one knows the actual top neither does anyone know the actual bottom. We are all spectator and the deep divers get more lucky.

Cheers to a greener time to come

Timing the markets is never easy. I'm not sure what you bought, but if it was alt tokens, that is even harder. The alts don't seem to follow any chart patterns right now, but are rather reactive to the movement of BTC. While you might not have bot at the best time, I think it should still be lower than what the price will be after the halving.

Hehe for me it's actually exciting! Was reading another chat, and they were discussing if people would feel happier if BTC went up 1% per day to reach this level, instead of having wild swings and still achieve the same level. I guess that's why people say a large part of trading/investing is about managing emotions.
