As I previously talked about, I am working on Hive Punks Market History 2.0 which includes all transactions for Hive Punks Market.
I have parsed all blocks since the launch of Hive Punks and extracted all the market orders since then. As I prepare the new DB and interface, I had some fun looking through some queries to get an idea of the volume as well as a few other things that interested me.
Since launch, the Hive Punks Market has done over 114,000 Hive!
While this is around $100K USD right now, much of it was done during $2 and even $3 Hive prices making the market volume somewhere around $200K+ USD. That's pretty freaking amazing for a project only around for about 2 months.
Put in perspective, that's over half of the total minting cost of 200,000 Hive.
I'm pretty excited about the new Market History as it will allow me to analyze and provide a lot more data. For example the other day @javie said he had no clue how much he has sold on the market, if any. While I was able to manually look by parsing the extracted transactions, I can now just easily query the database and know.
On the flip side, I can see he bought even more off the market.
Seeing as I have all the rarities in the same database, I'll also be able to figure out how much each rarity sells for on average and even recently.
It will also be easy to analyze specific users to see their volume, average purchase and sell prices, and other statistics that were not possible previously.
This change also allows me to pull the rarity of a Punk and display it on the market history page, something that was not as easy to do previously.
I still have a bit more work to do before Market History 2.0 is launched, but I wanted to share the market volume I discovered and the progress.
If you are curious about the biggest market sales, I did a query for any sale over 1,000 Hive.
A few have asked for a roadmap for Hive Punks, while I don't have anything official, I will share what's on my list for the near future.

There's a lot of value traded across all the Hive dapps. Congrats on the success of this project. It must be satisfying after all the work.

Now I must be the only one not played with the HivePunk NFTs and/or own one. Will more be up for minting, or is the only way to get to a Punk from Hive through the marketplace?
I don't have any HivePunk neither :') I'm feeling pretty alone but I don't really want to spend money for them, I don't really like the style :') !PIZZA

Hive Punks is doing just fine, crypto peeps can be impatiance and forget it is just two months project and it is a colectible.
wow, this is sure a good chat, maybe if I was following these systems earlier on I would have been doing something like this, I am looking for something like this to bring into the blockchain and more.

Hive Punks had a few unique things to them. The larger picture is they are just like other Punks. The idea behind them was every blockchain has cloned the Punks project for their blockchain but Hive did not have a clone.

The only Problem if they go high in price will be that I love my three Punk Ladies and anyway could not sell them :-)

Is there any future plans on implementing the punks as assets on Hive games? Would be awesome to be able to use the same not in multiple games and it would bring even more value.

I've just stumbled across HivePunks as I've wandered through some random links.
I am very new to the whole idea of Hive , I have really only found it via Splinterlands.
I'd like to learn more ( not very computer savvy order person) , does anyone have some pointers on where to start ?

Great work on the champagne bottle it looks so real. It is so amazing how successful Hive Punks have become, but it is not really surprising. Hive Punks were like a no-brainer I knew they would be very successful.
Are you guys thinking of releasing any new editions?
We will not be releasing new editions, I don't think it is fair to those who purchased under the impression there would only be 10,000 to release more. It will not be my last NFT project though.
