When my phone beeps and it's a message from my man I usually smile.
I say usually because sometimes it's a simple message asking me to pick up something at the market on the way home, that his flight home is delayed or some other such thing. Not that I mind picking up a last-minute item at the supermarket, just that it's a smile-worth type of text message. He always puts a nice word or two on there though, or a few X's to signify kisses he'll give me later.
He's been travelling for work a lot lately, a byproduct of his work and the time of year, and it seems he's always just about to travel, outbound travelling, working away or travelling home; it's not always but it feels like it.
This time he managed to send me some music and it's those text messages I always love and which make me smile. They start with, "I love you girl, listen to this."
On his latest work trip I received one each day and the last was the Bryan Adams song below. The other two are tracks we listened to together during this week, just music that was playing in the background like a soundtrack.
One of the lines is, "once in your life you find someone who will turn your world around, bring you up when you're feeling down..." For me, my guy was that someone and he does that every single day in so many small and thoughtful ways such as his song text messages. I'm a lucky girl.

I still have my old Nokia N95 that I used when I started dating my girlfriend.
It contains such lovely messages from a couple in love that we sometimes read them together and remember those moments of our relationship.
Nowadays, we don't send such long messages to each other, but with all the interesting emoji options, we make each other happy every day with a kiss, a heart, a bunny or a little yellow chicken. 🙂

Oh, that's a nice nostalgic gesture to keep that old phone. It's nice to hear that you keep up the small things like an emoji, it's such an insignificant thing but to receive it at the right time can mean a lot.
We have sent music links to songs that sometimes convey a message better than the words we say, and sometimes it's the song and the words we write to each other that count jointly.

When we find that person who encourages us with a single word and helps us, life becomes wonderful. That person who wants us to always be well and works for it, that's wonderful. I always keep those beautiful messages I have on my phone or take screenshots of them, it's very beautiful.
You've brought a great selection of music, although I don't know which one is U2's because the link doesn't appear. I like all of the group's songs. On the other hand, Bryan Adams' is beautiful. I also love all of his songs.

Yes, I always remember those first moments. I think they are etched very strongly in my memory, and they are beautiful, some of them funny. I return to them in my mind many times.
When you're in love, no matter how simple the messages as long as it is from your other half, it will surely make you smile. And I find that sensing music a cute interaction, its sweet and so wholesome.
By the way, Heaven of Bryan Adams is one of my fav. I listen to it as a kid back then when Papa's still alive. And I learn to love that song too. That U2 With or Without You, i'm not too familiar with it but I kinda like it. Same with that Bob Seger, feels like it would be a great song to listen while having drinking session with friends. Ehehe
I'm a little surprised you've not familiar with the U2 song to be honest, it was a massive hit back in its day. Maybe it didn't make it to your part of the world.

The most listen ones at home was Eagle, Air Supply, MLTR, some Tagalog Songs, Bryan Adams Songs, the Beatles and so on, but I don't remember U2 on the our CDs then 🤔🤔.
I know that feeling you get when you see his messages. Even though he isn't close his messages shows he is thinking about you.

Bryan Adams was a really good singer and had a way of making very emotional and relatable songs. I'm not sure if he's still singing these days, but we have the benefit of listing to songs from the past.

Wow, that's so cute and sweet. You're a lucky girl, indeed. Sending sweet messages with a song is so lovely. I used to do that before, especially if the song really captured what my heart would wanna say. The lyrics and the melody made eveyrthing even sweeter. Sometimes, when words become superfluous, a song is a good way to express everything. I love it!
