RE: Weekend-engagement topic week 37: Your job passion

Morning :)

I did laugh it off and was friendly towards them, but it wasn't about fear, it was about the dad making his point. And me being nice made him even more furious. He had to stood his grounds, his wife was looking ;), even though there was nothing to be mad about. Oh well, sad thing is that the kids are adapting such a behavior.

I was frustrated inside but you gotta have a pokerface in a situation like that.

Afternoon :)

Yeah, I know the type and one feels for the wife and the children, as when they grow up they will be exactly like him. Misfits in this life.
I bet if it was a guy with his dog, that man would sing a different tune. What an empty tin pot.

Good that you were nice to him and you should pity him my dear pokerface hahaha.

I did pity them, but yeah...you find them all over the world. And being underestimated as a woman is a sad truth till this day. In my job as a psd I had to proof that I was just as able to do this kind of job. Luckily the ones that were sceptic at the beginning ended up being humbled in the end. But that's an every day story, no matter what kind of job.

Hey, this is South Africa and I have never heard of the acronym psd ???
Pretty Strong and Determined ? 🤣

On a serious note, I was a single parent child and my mom worked double shifts in the mans world of setting printing presses to keep me, my gran and my two sisters alive.
She was one of the youngest persons in the trade to be appointed as a foreman.
A beautiful girl that had a string of boyfriends, but she never married until my gran died and we were all out of the house.
The marriage lasted for a few years until she died in a car accident at the age of 51.
That lady was my hero and that's why I have so much respect for women.

Btw. My name, or one of my names is ZAC.

Hi Zac, nice to meet you ;)

What an impressive and yet tragic story of your mom. Why is it that the good ones often have to go too early? I grew up in East Germany and the women there were a lot like your mom. I bet she is watching and damn proud of all of you.😇

PSD stands for Personal Security Detail. To get an impression, a glimpse of me on one of the jobs gettyimages. We usually avoid getting shot but once in a while it happens, and this is an older one so it will be fine.

I agree that the good ones go too quick my friend. So, you guys were behind the wall in East Germany?
Oh yeah, she keeps an eagle eye on us :)
Ah, okay I understand now what psd stands for and I presume that you are the lady in black behind Kim?
Over here we call your profession body guards.

Yup, the ones with the Stasi and yup I'm the one behind Kim lol. Bodyguard is the common word for it, you are right. But it sounds so striking. The job is more than being a red carpet bodyguard, but it is history anyways. 😄 My nickname was The Pit Bull and The German Shepherd. But I'm a nice person, really 😄 only when on the job I became an agent with all the traits 😉 😎

Ah, The Pit Bull and The German Shepherd, thank goodness that shouting guy didn't know who he was trying to tangle with.
So, I think that I should call you The Poodle 🤣
