My Experience Repairing Appliances in My House

Greetings friends of Hive and @weekendexperiences, today I am once again participating in the initiative proposed by @galenkp, in which he presents us with various topics to share the experience and learn about that of other users within the blockchain. Before starting, I want to wish everyone a happy 2025.

It is worth mentioning that since my childhood my father was my father figure who was always at home to solve any problem that arose with any appliance, since he had several jobs, such as driver, bricklayer, he knew a lot about electricity and was in charge of everything related to the construction of the house, the only thing he did not like was welding. When any appliance was damaged, my father repaired it without any problem.

Now, after I got married, I had to live separately with my wife, and this meant a greater responsibility at home. I also lived with my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law, that is, they were all women and I was the man of the house, so I found myself in the need to learn in praxis of any problem. On one occasion I needed to put a light bulb in a part of the living room, I needed to buy two meters of cable, a switch and a socket to put the bulb in. On that occasion I called my brother so he could explain to me how to do it and in that way I learned to do simple electrical work.

Another of my most recent experiences was the repair of a 15 kg Samsung automatic washing machine. This washing machine had a fault on one occasion about two years ago, and I had it repaired by changing a part that was damaged. After some time it started to fail again and I tried to locate the technician but he never came and the clothes started to pile up at home. In view of this situation I documented myself with YouTube videos on the frequent faults that occur with this type of washing machine.

With these tutorials, I did several tests to detect the fault, one was the verification of the capacitor which I did a manual test and it turns out that it was working well, then I checked the electrical connections if it was connected to the washing machine motor, and I did not see anything abnormal according to what was seen in the videos. After this I checked the panel where the access to the water is controlled, and changed the part called Pressure switch.

This pressure switch is an important part that regulates the water level in the washing machine, once it has the level selected in the programming, then it starts to wash the washing machine and also allows the centrifuge to dry the clothes, so I changed this part and was able to repair my Samsung washing machine. This is an experience where as the saying goes I learned in practice through tutorials on the web, it is all a matter of having patience to be able to solve some things.

I hope you enjoyed my experience in repairing this appliance.

Ha ha ha YouTube tutorials never fail, you still have to have a lot of patience and dexterity. My partner once tried to fix the blender and burned it, he had to buy a new one. Not everyone develops the same skills, it was a pleasure to read you.

Hi, yes my friend, you learn somehow, thank you for your comment.
