I've done some reflections in the last few weeks. I can say that I've made up my mind to not best myself up or dwell too long in all the wrongs. It's all behind me. Just cannot wait to close from work for the year so I can go cool off with family and get some renewed energy. Next year, I go harder and better. I hope so. Or rather, I know so.

I used to be a fan of the cricket, played a bit as a younger boy and man, watched all the games, went to a lot of them, but not so much anymore. I watch big games though, those I know will be great. We have the BBL in Australia at the moment and Pakistan are touring, the First Test Match is on currently.

India is cricket crazy nation...so everybody played games at certain part of life...I am not differrnt, I still try out on batting for few balls with local kids...😁 it is really fun.... but watching matches does not excites me....After 2003 wc and then again after this year world cup loss...I casually check-out on scores or some highlights

Cookies...then relaxing and eating cookies seems a good way to spend the weekend. I'm relaxing a bit too, although there's only three more working days for the year for me so I'll do some work too as I'm getting things positioned for next year - will be a big one.

'Snap out of it', I agree 2023 not much to write home about, helped others, feel my battery requires a recharge, escape..., I'll let you know when I find it.

I know so many people who have said 2023 was a bit of a let down and most have said it flew by so fast. I'm not sure why people think it wasn't that good, I mean 2020/2021/2022 set the bar low, but for some reason 2023 seems rather lackluster. Anyway, for me 2024 looks to be a solid year and I'll do what I can to make it so.

The year went fast, very busy organizing and helping people on the move. Not going out beach walking or arriving at a park more frequently is getting me down after years of lockup. Hope like hell 2024 brings more direction, plan of action which I have tumbling around my mind.
On the other hand off to a 50th birthday today for niece (2nd to hit the mark), should be good although driving to and fro not ideal in our traffic. Have a great weekend, nice to hear you have a solid plan for 2024.

I'm making plans to at least double my rebuild time on the homestead. Gutting the building there, to upgrade it to a net zero house; is now underway. I will add r33 to the floors, and r12 to the walls; with all new construction.
Adding additional stringers will stiffen the structure. The plywood will be screwed down and glued, after adding the insulation and vapor barrier:

When done, the entire house will run off of solar panels and wind power. Even though there is power a available, I intend to run fully off the power grid!

Well it sure looks like you've got plenty to keep you busy.
I took Saturday off work and all, went to the range and shot some guns and told (and listened too) lies with my bros! Lol.
Today I've been setting up my new home office set up, adding monitors and all, now three external, two will work off my work laptop when I'm working from home and the third is for my personal laptop which is what I'm responding to you on. Not a very exciting day but I'm glad to have got it set up. It'll make me more productive.
True, it's a big job; but off grid keeps drawing me every time I pay utilities here, LOL! Slow and steady always has worked for me.
The range trip is a good reset, I just did that, but another trip is singing to me now! I may make it a black powder day, to enjoy the sulphur.... It would be fun to trade lies!
I understand the computer problems, my desktop has been down for over a year. Just too much other stuff to take the time. I've been using my engineering computer some, but it's Windows; so it can't go on the Internet! Need to get my lazy backside going, pull the motherboard; and do some solder repairs. The list is long sometimes, ROFLOL! But it's good we're getting more work out of you.... I'm using a laptop some myself, with Linux OS installed of course; and my phone at times, although I don't have Unix on it yet (but I'm looking).
My family will be here Christmas Eve, and they want to use Momma's china, so I've got to pull that out, and wash the storage off; will be fun! Got my Son and Son in love (law); one of those pellet rifles we talked about. There is a YouTube video of a Man hunting feral hogs with it, using a forehead shot! He gets two before they run off...so I decided they should both have one too, for SHTF use.

This weekend was a good one. I spent it at home, cleaning and taking care of myself and of home. Today, Sunday, was a family day. I ate with my parents and had an awesome time with my sister and brother in law. We attended a local festivity and tradition of this time of year and we had a blast!
