Snakes and spiders aren't my thing...surprising since I was born and raised in Australia where we have so many deadly ones (and other things). I find them creepy.

Hi @galenkp there are six interesting topics This weekend, I have My newfew that love snake, he had Two snakes in his departament, I never visit him. But now he went in EEUU and sold them.
He had snakes for pets? I know someone who does also, not my thing though. Me no likey snakes. 😁
If they were his pets, and he had them in a room, my family said he was crazy hehe, once I dared to visit him and went into that room I only saw them half and left quickly? .

Ahh spiders are the worst! I am truly afraid of them. They are my wordt nightmare (sometimes I literally dream of them 😂)
The other week someone broke into my van while I was sleeping. I woke up and this guy was scared and pulled a knife and left. This experience was so much better than if it would have been a spider. If it was a spider I would definitely not been able to sleep anymore. That's how afraid I am for spiders. Australia might be my dream country to live in but the spiders keep me away 😂
Oh wow, a scary situation with the break in to your van... fortunately you're ok! If it was a spider...well, things would have been much worse. And yeah, we have some deadly spiders here for sure, snakes too.

But I have a 12 acre pine tree farm and have yet to see a pine rattlesnake. The year after I dug the pond I had water moccasins. Strange I think. I just got "up close and personal" with a black widow last weekend. She did not bite so it was a good kind of UC&P.
I was thinking about revisiting the animal rescue that changed our lives here and gave birth to the "Pookyville Cat Ranch"

I'm taking it slow this weekend so I checked out a few posts...Some of them made me tear up 😭
As for the spiders/ snakes, I'm not a huge fan of either one but my daughter is. Her dad has a pet snake called Rosita, and Sophia loves to hang out with her while I'm back at home fearing for her life lol In her defence though, she's never seen Anaconda 🤣
Brave girl...me no likey snakes so this is something the creeps me out. There one time I held a carpet python though, I did not enjoy the experience at all.
There's been some good posts this week and I'm really pleased to see people taking on some or the more complicated topics as well.

Wow, those are some heavy ones this weekend! I usually try to take a bit of a break from Hive on the weekends, but I might have to pop into the community for once just to read some of the responses!
