RE: Weekend-engagement week 67: The important week

1 Good Intent (What for? To pave your road to Hell with it?) — If we do not strive to make things better (But for whom?), what else are we here for? Are we sentient beings? Our egoism dies with us (and is sometimes remembered). Our deeds that influence others for the better, live on forever (or happen to be quickly forgotten).
The funny thing about the school of stoicism, as I read it in Marcus Aurelius's works, is it calls for us to be our best selves because it doesn't matter anyway. And good intent without a proper knowledge of the reality of the situation (good luck finding this BS)...often brings ill effect.

2 Education (We don't need no...) — Come on, I'm not playing a brick in any walls (and who mentioned reality above), I'm trying to set y'all free, bring down your walls. Education has many aspects. I am not talking formal education, marks, diplomas, etc. I am talking curiosity, knowledge, usefulness, improving yourself and your community by becoming more skilled and thus...more powerful (Ah, so it's power we're after. Not a brick at all)...You don't need to know everything. You need to know your things (You know your thingie pretty well, don't you? Lots of good it does ya).

3 Action (Oh, come on! It's my turn to say at least one thing, shall I?) — All right, dude, I guess it's only fair.

3 (Fun — Can't survive without it. No point surviving without it. Period.)

In the end, the most important thing is to remember...

Nothing is important.
Everything is important.

Wow I love your mindset, it's so unique and I bet you would be a good person anyone should know from all you said here.

Having good intent in a world as ours is super nice, I can imagine a world with people having good intent... Things would be way easier.

Education? I may be a student struggling to come out with an excellent result but I don't think I hold such education highly like you said, being skilled and growing your knowledge in so many ways is what I call the best and breakthrough education.

Fun!!!!!! 🤭 Who doesn't love fun? Fun is a part of me too.

Hahaha I love what you ended your cimemt with... Totally agreed

Yeah, I'm talking all kinds of education. Parent-to-kids education. Financial education. Human rights education. Critical thinking and judgement of information, etc.

Yeah, don't forget to have fun!

Yeah, I understood what you meant very well and for sure, I won't forget to have fun.

How about you share some of your fun with me, mine wouldn't be enough 🤣

But I'm doing so, sharing my fun with the whole blockchain and often enough ;)

Oh yeah, I could feel it already
Nice meeting you @manoldonchev

Good intent, education and fun...Nice options to choose.

I especially like your passage about education as it talks about the various different types of education where at first glance most wold probably assume school and university. We learn things every day, or have the opportunity to, and it's the smart people amongst us who take that opportunity.

Fun? Yep, I can't disagree with this either.

Thanks for getting involved this week, I really appreciate it.

Are you writing a new Meditations book to try to get Marcus Aurelius out of business? Because I see you're on to it.

I love this bit. Always end up going out wiser into the weekends!

No business is forever safe and of all people he should have known that. I go into this with no...the hell did these thunderstrikes mean!?

Ahhhh, yes. Our old friend Marcus. We just as well do good since it doesn't matter anyway...

I'm a (mostly) self educated man. I was never a very good student because I saw so much bullshit in the presentation that I could never just pick out the nuggets that teachers offered.

If I'm not having fun, why am I doing this? Sorta rolls back around to MA.

Right. In a sense, it's good to have fun in everything you do. Possible. Fun comes from within.
