Miracle morning - day 3

Yoga-small.jpg

Great start to the weekend up at 06:30 to do a couple of "Miracle morning" hours. Getting back to waking up with meditation (Headspace) and yoga with Ardiene. I have got out of the habit of for a while - I'm guessing a over a year. I may look back at my personal journal to see just how long!

As I wrote yesterday I'm giving this early start programme a go. One of my most exciting thoughts is that it integrates (in an early timebox) many of the things I like to do concerning personal wellbeing into a (relatively) short early morning programme. Is there a potential for me to move from a permanent state of guilt (I wish I had done more of X but I have been too bust chasing my tail) to a calmer more balanced state during the day? A chance to do more wellbeing AND more work (I am a self-confessed workaholic - see my Value Exchange )

Yesterday was another tough day vising my mother who is now sadly experiencing her final days in a hospice in Margate. I took my middle son to see her - it was quite a touch gig for him. First experience of someone dying is big and someone you love so much at that. I will try to externalise more of my thoughts in the coming months but is has been a long journey for me and my two lovely sisters since she fell on 3 December 2022.

With a brief period at home followed by two months of pointless interventions in hospital I think we are coming to terms (as a family) with the fact that her frailty was such that even months before her fall she had started quite a rapid decline aged 88. We now know that to be called "frailty". I wrote about that here on the weekend channel a while back.

I wont post a picture of mum here as I don't want that image to be indelibly inked on the blockchain - there are many incredible, happy, joyous moments that my mother brought to our family and anyone she ever met ( however briefly) she had an innate ability to bring laughter, joy (her name!) and energy into this world.

Such a sad time for our family. But life is here for living to the full. Among such darkness (Turkish earthquakes, Ukraine) there is much light. Let's seek out the light and make the world a better place through our own actions, love and kindness.

Have the best weekend possible peeps.

I see you have enough on your plate, heavy stuff, so it must be difficult. Accompanying someone on their last road is difficult and I am telling you from experience, unfortunately. A good way to externalize your feelings and thoughts is to write on Hive, what you think you want to share. It can serve as therapy.

Anyway, take care and hope to see you more.

Thank you @erikah I am building my commitment this year to #working_out_loud. I interviewed the author of the book this week for a short webinar I'll publish soon. I certainly halps writing stuff down!!
