Good Question! I see that DPOS has taken a new shape after the fork. We are getting a lot of opportunity to experience the obstacles in DPOS, specially concerning democracy. Apart from the very common name, I don't think branding and marketing should be a problem. What about developers? There are tons of decentralised products and services that we could build. I haven't been seeing any proposals, which concerns me. I am trying to on board developers for a while. I think a possible failure would be that newer blockchains could have better tech and then be faster and more scalable. I don't think that will matter much due to the nature of the witness pools as hive is scalable too. A lot of people I talk to in the space are looking for newer blockchains with crypto for their DAO's or Dapps.
